1. Family Environment

4. State-of-the-Art Facilities

2. Scholarship and InternshipOpportunities

3. Land-Grant Institution

Our staff and faculty welcome you like family. The family oriented environment enables faculty to provide one-on-one mentoring, and enhance your learning experience. Our student to faculty ratio is 14:1.

The College of Agriculture and Human Sciences resides in a four-story academic building at the epicenter of the campus. The building gives students a first rate experience. The College has more than 778 acres of farmland which is home to the International Goat Research Center and the future site for the creamery and meat laboratories.

Scholarships are available for incoming students (freshmen and transfer) as well as current students. All scholarships are renewable by maintaining a certain GPA, course load, and/or enrollment status (other requirements may apply). The programs strive to foster learning, collaboration, and conduct outreach to external partners, such as governmental agencies, corporations, extension services and other colleges within the University.

Land-grant institutions were established to support agricultural and engineering initiatives. By attending an 1890 Land-Grant university like Prairie View A&M University, there is an advantage to majoring in these fields and learning the importance of research and outreach through the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center and the Cooperative Extension Program
