● Eligibility Conditions(i) Graduate in any discipline from a
recognized University/Board (withminimum 50% marks).

● Selection ProcedureSelection will be made on the basis of On-linetest followed by an Interview of candidateswho qualify in the On-line test. Thecandidates found successful in the Interviewhave to undergo Medical Examination.
1. On-line Test :On-line test will be of objective type, multiplechoice of two hours duration comprising thefollowing sections :

The online examination will be in Englishlanguage only. There will be penalty forwrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.For each question for which a wrong answerhas been given by the candidate one fourth or0.25 of the marks assigned to that questionwill be deducted as penalty to arrive at

If a question is left blank, i.e.,no answer is given by the candidate; therewill be no penalty for that question.LIC HFL reserves the right to fix theminimum cut-off marks section wise as wellas on total in the on-line test in order tofinalize the number of candidates to be calledfor the Interview. The jobs do not get changed around from timeto time. I started off one of the nicer ones. I sat ata conveyor belt slippin piece of cardboard under

each cake as it came down the line. At first it wasdifficult to keep up. An uneconomic movement, afurze and four cakes have gone without cards. Igot up to chase the four cakes, eight moreappeared and for five minutes or so I had to betwice the speed to work my way back to where Iwas sitting before. But it takes half a day or so tolearn how it’s done and so becomes quiteautomatic. The frenzy had quite worn off by theend of the first day and then there was only themonotony and aching arms. Later I moved toanother job on the line, as the girl who usually didit had left. I wasn’t surprised. It was the nastiestjob in that department. As the cake came out of amachine that had sliced it in three layers, twostreams of artificial cream were poured the layers.I had to stack the layers up again—a messy andvery tiring job. The cakes are heavy and the creamis slippery. Anyone has worked at all in a factoryknows how deathly conveyor belt work is. At first,it is difficult to keep up, and when you’re tired itis merciless. After a while, when you havebecome fairly used to it, the fact that you can’twork faster is also infuriating.
