Uploading  Learning  Materials  to  Bronco  Scholar    This  guide  provides  step-­‐by-­‐step  instructions  with  screenshots  on  how  to  upload  learning  materials  to  Bronco  Scholar  using  your  BroncoName  and  BroncoPassword.  If  you  encounter  any  issues  while  attempting  to  upload  items  to  Bronco  Scholar,  please  email  broncoscholar@cpp.edu  for  assistance.    1.  Navigate  to  http://broncoscholar.library.cpp.edu.  To  login  to  submit  something  to  Bronco  Scholar,  click  on  the  “LOGIN”  link  in  the  header:

2.  Choose  “Bronco  Scholar  Login”  from  the  options:  

     3.  Enter  your  Bronco  Name  and  Bronco  Password  to  login  to  Bronco  Scholar:  

   3.  After  you  have  logged  in,  the  homepage  of  Bronco  Scholar  will  load  again.  Scroll  down  to  “Submissions”  under  “My  Account”  on  the  left  facets:

   4.  Click  on  “start  another  submission”  to  begin  a  submission:    

   5.  Select  a  collection  from  the  dropdown  list.  If  you  do  not  see  a  collection,  please  email  broncoscholar@cpp.edu  and  let  us  know  what  collection  you’d  like  to  access  (for  instance  if  you’re  Mathematics  &  Statistics  faculty,  you  may  want  to  access  the

6.  You  will  see  the  first  of  seven  submission  screens.  Many  of  the  fields  in  these  forms  will  not  need  to  be  filled  out  and  will  be  optional  fields  only.  This  guide  provides  specific  details  on  which  fields  we  will  need  for  any  learning  objects  you  may  load.  In  most  cases  neither  of  the  questions  on  the  first  page  will  apply  to  your  submission,  so  you  can  ignore  these  and  click  “Next”  to  continue.

7.  On  the  next  screen,  you’ll  be  asked  to  identify  authors,  the  title  of  the  item,  and  the  type  of  item.  If  you  have  multiple  authors,  please  enter  one  at  a  time  and  click  “Add”  after  each  entry.  Enter  the  title.    

 8.  Next  select  the  type  of  material  as  “Learning  Object”  and  select  the  language.  You  can  ignore  all  other  fields  on  this  form  page.  Click  “Next”  to  continue.

9.  Please  enter  subject  keywords  to  describe  your  learning  object.  Once  you’ve  added  a  subject  keyword,  click  “Add”  to  add  additional  keywords.  We  recommend  that  you  provide  at  least  three  keywords.  Enter  an  abstract  describing  your  item:

10.  If  your  work  was  sponsored  by  any  grant  agency,  provide  that  under  “Sponsors.”  Also,  if  your  learning  object  is  associated  with  a  specific  class,  please  enter  that  under  “Description.”  If  none  of  these  apply,  leave  them  blank.  Click  “Next”  to  continue.

11.  The  next  page  provides  more  descriptions  for  items  originating  by  student  authors.  You  can  ignore  the  entries  on  this  screen  and  click  “Next.”  

 12.  Next,  please  upload  your  object  by  selecting  “Browse”  and  locating  your  item  on  your  computer.  You  may  optionally  enter  a  file  description  if  you’d  like.  If  you  have  multiple  objects  you’d  like  displayed  on  the  same  page  click  “Upload  file  &  add  another.”  If  you  only  have  one  object,  click  “Next.”

 13.  You  will  now  see  a  review  screen  where  you  can  review  your  entries.  To  make  any  corrections,  click  on  “Correct  one  of  these”  in  the  appropriate  section.  If  no  corrections  need  to  be  made,  click  “Next”  to  continue.

14.  Now  a  licensing  agreement  will  be  displayed.  Click  “I  grant  the  license”  at  the  bottom  of  the  page  to  agree  to  the  terms  of  posting  to  Bronco  Scholar.  Then  click  “Complete  Submission.”    

     

   Your  submission  is  now  complete!  You  will  receive  an  email  at  your  cpp.edu  email  address  to  confirm  the  item  has  been  submitted.  The  library  staff  will  review  and  approve  all  items  uploaded  to  Bronco  Scholar.  In  general,  this  should  take  a  maximum  of  one  week,  but  generally  takes  less  than  48  hours.
