SEPTEMBER 2018 July 2020 TRUST IN THE LORD! Psalm 91, “1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. ” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowlers snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you say, The LORD is my refuge, and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 Because he loves me,says the LORD, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.Hi Church Family! I love you and I love that promise from God in Psalm 91! I hope you hold on to it. And as you trust in the LORD, let me challenge you to do 2 things. First- I encourage you to seek the LORD and listen to Him, over the media. To spread fear, much of the media is exaggerating by saying there is an explosion of COVID 19 cases and its as bad as its ever been. While massive testing is finding many new cases, the death toll and overall hospitalizations are going down. Its the lowest since the end of March. The median age of people getting COVID is also down from the median age of 65 to 35. The ratio of deaths, to new cases is also plummeting. Dr. Ramin Oskoui, CEO Foxhall Cardiology says: It looks like herd immunity is starting to develop. He says ICU hospitalizations and death rates are dropping, this is a good sign because this is what happens when a viral pandemic like this, winds down. So, let me encourage you to continue to follow safe guideline and continue to seek God's voice over anyone else. Second- I want to encourage you to seek God on getting back to the worship gathering at church. Exodus 20:8-10, "Observe the Sabbath and keep it holy. You have six days in which to do your normal things, but the seventh day is a day of rest dedicated to me. On that day no one is to work." Hebrews 10:24-25, And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching." The Sabbath or Sunday Worship Gathering is a day dedicated to God for community worship of God and was intended to be a physical gathering. Some of us are in the habit of not gathering for worship, and many have not even watched Online. I understand that some of you, dont have that technology, thats understandable. But it saddens me that many of you who do have that capability, have not honored God on His day by watching on line or joining us here at church. Its Gods day, not ours. I encourage you to get back to church. God will bless and watch over us if we are careful and we honor Him. As Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said in Daniel 3:17-18, If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majestys hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.In other words, we will continue to worship the God of Heaven. So, in love, I challenge you to continue to seek the LORD for His guidance in all you do and I challenge you to seek God about coming back to the worship gathering. In any case, make sure you honor His day by coming to the worship gathering or joining us live-stream. We love you all! All Church Picnic– Sunday July 5th, Chicken, rolls, potato salad, Ice Cream, outdoor games & more. Bring your lawn chair and shade. DO not bring any side dishes, all food will be bought and served with safety guideline in place. Games and fun on the lawn. TRUST IN THE LORD! Psalm 91, “1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his
