descriptiona detached, purpose built, one, two and three storey care home constructed in about 1978 and operated by the abbeyfield Housing Society as an elderly care home for up to 30 residents. the single storey lounge and conservatory extensions are understand to have been added at a later date. the external walls are brickwork and main roof is pitched and slate covered. there are smaller sections of flat roof to the projecting bays and the link corridor to the lounge. the windows are mainly painted aluminium framed single glazed, although some are double glazed and there are also some replacement uPvc framed units. there are plastic profiled rainwater gutters and downpipes.
