SCALES FOR URBANACUPUNCTURE

I. Streets – Public land adjoining building that people can use to freely assemble, interact and move about. Street can serve as the catalyst for the neighborhood’s prosperity, culture and solidarity.

II. Public Places – Social space open and accessible to the community. A gathering place for persons to interaction in common activities.

III. Neighborhoods – A district characterized by similar or compatible elements. Link between individuals’ lifestyles based on the location of their homes creating a sense of togetherness and combined collective resources.

CONCLUSION

Yo-Yo Ma’s music garden was a beautiful concept

and consist of many comforting elements but have

to work effortlessly in the environment to reach its full

potential.

Well developed urban acupuncture can be cost

effective and require little maintained if properly

aimed to the community’s desires.

The scales for urban acupuncture are important

components that serve as needles to inject

communities with energy, life and productivity.
