    Hello, AFRICOM Personnel and Families. I want to thank you all for thewarm welcome that I have received as your new Family Readiness Group

    Leader. I have not had a chance to meet all of you in person; however, I lookforward to many such opportunities in the near future as we kick our FRG intofull gear.

    As a seasoned Marine Corps spouse and prior Marine Corps Family TeamBuilding staff member I know the importance of having a solid network in placeto assist our Active Duty, Civilian, Contractors, and their Families.

    I am eager to hear from all of you on what role you see the FRG filling in yourlives, and where you see yourself in the US Africa Command Family ReadinessGroup.

    Ophthalmology may provide visionservices (depending on personnelavailability)Dental services will be provide oralhygiene information and exams

    Community services will include:chaplain, customs, Red Cross,Army Community Service, ID cards,passports information, InstallationAccess Control System, legal

    support, local associations, AAFES,Service Credit Union and theCommunity Bank.Representatives fro the DFAS-Cleveland and the Federal Benefits

    Unit, Frankfurt (social security andVA information) will attend.

    Scheduled for 27 October from9a.m.2p.m. at the SwabianSpecial Events CenterEvents will include: Medical serviceto include flu shots and other

    vaccinations; medical screening;diet counseling; eye exams; bloodpressure screening; blood sugartesting and pharmacy information.

    During each block the followingguidelines are for who and whereimmunizations will be given:

    22-30 September: Military Units

    and deployable civilian staff.

    3-14 October: CYSS & DODDSstaff & students ONLY at eachschool (CYSS staff at each kasernewill go to the school to receive theirshot). May also be given to high riskpatients and with well baby visitswith a script from a doctor in theclinic. Military will ONLY get shotsduring deployment and PHA relatedappointments, not as walk-ins (dueto short staffing). NO WALK INS.

    17-28 October: All eligiblebeneficiaries not already immunizedcan get the shot at each kaserne( see schedule). May also be givento high risk patients and with well

    baby visits with a script from adoctor in the clinic. Military willONLY get shots during deploymentand PHA related appointments, notas walk-ins (due to short staffing).No WALK-Ins

    31 October End of Season:

    Will be given on a walk-in basis(civilians go to immunizations clinic;military go to medical readiness).
