Use the Medical Plan Cost Estimator to compare your

medical plan options and decide which plan is right for you.

Review Annual Enrollment is your only time during the year

to enroll in optional benefit programs such as Flexible

Spending Accounts, Group Legal coverage, Supplemental Life

Insurance and AD&D, Long-Term Disability Buy-Up, and Aflac

Supplemental Insurance programs.

Eligible for a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health

Savings Account (HSA)? Reset your annual contribution

amount, because your elections don’t automatically roll over.

Review your life and AD&D insurance elections, and

update your beneficiaries. Be sure to check the cost, if

you’re changing your coverage amount, and any applicable

rate updates for your current selections.

Enroll Once you’ve reviewed your options, be sure to make any

election updates in Your Benefits Resources (YBR) and

confirm your 2022 selections by November 12, 2021.

Visit paypalbenefits.com to access YBR to make

enrollment updates.

Once you’ve submitted your selections, you’ll receive a

2022 Confirmation of Coverage.

If you don’t take any action…You’ll remain in your current benefit plans, and current dependent

coverage will carry forward, except for the HSA and FSAs. These

accounts require new elections annually.

What’s new and changing for 2022Current paycheck contributions for medical, dental, and vision coverage will not change for next year—unless you make a new plan selection. Although the cost to offer these plans will increase next year, PayPal will cover 100% of the cost increases. To view the paycheck contributions for coverage, visit paypalbenefits.com.

The pharmacy benefit is moving to a standard formulary.

This is a list of clinically effective generic and brand-name

prescription drugs covered by your plan. If your doctor

prescribes a drug that is not on the standard formulary

but is clinically necessary, your provider can request an

authorization to CVS. If you fall into this category, CVS will

connect with you beginning in November 2021 to assist with

prescription coverage. To view a list of prescription drugs

on the standard formulary, visit caremark.com, and use

the Check Drug Cost tool. You’ll instantly see if a specific

prescription is covered under your plan and, if no longer

covered by the plan, what the cost would be.

Dispense-as-written requirement will apply.

Starting next year, if you fill a prescription for a brand drug

when a generic is available, you’ll pay the difference between

the brand and generic prescription drug costs (including copay),

unless the brand drug is clinically necessary, in which case, your

provider can request an authorization or appeal to CVS.

Compare costs. Save money.Use the CVS drug cost tool at cvs.com/content/prescription-savings to see what you’ll pay starting

in 2022 and whether there’s a lower-cost alternative available.

Manufacturer discounts for specialty prescriptions will no longer count toward your deductible.

Specialty drugs are high-cost prescription drugs

used to treat complex, chronic conditions like

cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.

Manufacturers often provide copay cards to patients

to help cover the cost of these drugs.

What this means for you

If you’re prescribed a specialty drug and use a

manufacturer copay card to help offset the cost, the

dollar value of the manufacturer copay card will no

longer count toward your medical plan deductible.

UnitedHealthcare (UHC) prescription drug coverage changesCVS Caremark will continue to be the pharmacy benefit provider for UHC plan participants. The following changes will apply to your

prescription drug coverage beginning January 1, 2022:

$300 – $200 = $100medication cost manufacturer

copay card

Only $100 applied toward your deductible

paid out of pocket

Enhanced fertility benefits and adoption and surrogacy assistance Need support to begin or grow your family?

assistance enhanced benefits can help.

of bundled fertility services through Progyny,

including all necessary diagnostic testing and the

you don’t have to worry about running out of

coverage in the middle of your treatment cycle.

Plus more covered fertility options, including

sperm and egg donations.

Be reimbursed even more (up to $25,000 per child)

when you adopt or use a surrogate using PayPal’s

adoption and surrogacy reimbursement policies.

Vision plan now includes access to Walmart Vision CentersVSP has added Walmart Vision Centers to the VSP network, giving you more value, top brands at low prices, the latest styles, and

free in-store pickup and free shipping on qualifying purchases.

meQuilibrium and Real Appeal will no longer be offeredEvery year we review our benefits package to make sure we’re

offering competitive and valuable benefits for our employees.

meQuilibrium and Real Appeal had very low utilization. PayPal

has made the decision to discontinue these programs as of

January 1, 2022, because we offer other, more robust benefits

to support you, including a new app, Calm, for sleep and

stress support, and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

for emotional and mental health support. Plus, we offer Vida

Health coaching for physical well-being, access to dietitians,

and weight-loss support.

More money for you in 2022Save money for medical expenses now—and in the future.

If you’re enrolled in the CDHP medical plan with a Health

Savings Account (HSA), you can save pre-tax dollars in an HSA

to use for health care expenses. PayPal also contributes. Here

are the 2022 contribution limits:

Employee only Employee + family

PayPal’s contribution $500 $1,000

You can contribute up to $3,150 $6,300

Maximum IRS total $3,650 $7,300

Contribute to an FSA to help pay for eligible health care

expenses. You can contribute up to the annual IRS limit to

your Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) in 2022.

Estimate your future expenses carefully, so you don’t lose any

money at the end of 2022.

New! Personal protection equipment (PPE), such as

face masks, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes, are now

eligible for reimbursement through your HSA, FSA, or Health

Reimbursement Account (HRA).

Grow your retirement savings! You can contribute up to

$19,500 (or $26,000 if you’re aged 50 or older) to your 401(k).

This is one of the easiest ways to save pre-tax dollars for

retirement—and get free money from PayPal too!
