► Developed customized Train-the-Trainer materials for 21 States.

► NISR has conducted 38 Train-the-Trainer classes.

► NISR has been requested to teach additional classes in each of the last 2 years for a few States.

► 44 classes performed by State Trainers in California, Wisconsin, Colorado and Louisiana (only a partial list of states).

►Worked with CHP on updates to the 555D and matching revisions to the CHP Collision Investigation Manual.

►Developed a custom training class based on the fields from the new 555D using the materials from the full-day training class.

►Prepared expanded resource materials:

• A photo and definition review of Vehicle Configuration and Cargo Body Type

• An example case using the new 555D

►Initial train-the-trainer held January 3, 2007 in Sacramento.

►As of June, the class has reached 591 officers in California in CHP and allied agencies.

Oklahoma

►Worked with Oklahoma on updates to their Traffic Collision Report and matching revisions to the Instruction Manual.

►Developed a custom training class using the materials from the full-day training class.

►Held training class in September 2006 for trainers from OHP and local law enforcement.

►Oklahoma DPS incorporated the class materials into the state-wide training on the new report form.

►Assisted DPS with developing the extraction logic to pass data from the state system to SAFETYNET.

Alabama CDL Class AAllows you to operate vehicles which tow trailers or other vehicles with aGVWR over 10,000 pounds. A Class "A" license also allows you to operate Class B and C vehicles.

  CDL Class B

Allows you to operate single vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or more OR a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 lbs. or more, towing trailers/vehicles rated at 10,000 pounds GVWR or less. A Class "B" license also allows you to operate Class C vehicles.

B

  CDL Class C

Allows you to operate vehicles under 26,001 lbs. GVWR; that are designed to transport 16 or more persons including the driver; or that carry 15 or less people (including the driver) transporting children to or from school and home regularly for compensation, or carry hazardous materials in amounts requiring placarding.

C

  Learner's License Sixteen years old - Any person 16 years of age or older D

  Class D Driver's License - Any person 16 years of age but under D

  Class MD Motor Driven Cycle License - Fourteen and 15 year old - M

  Class M Motorcycle License - Sixteen years old and older - M
