Thank you for purchasing the USB LPC2XXX and P89XXX programmer. This unit has been carefully engineered and tested to provide superior performance. This document covers the features and operation of this unit. USB LPC2XXX and P89XXX programmer supports onboard programming through ISP of any PIC microcontrollers from Microchip.This device is specially designed to work with Laptops/Notebooks which doesn’t have Parallel or serial port. This programmer is supported in PICKIT2 programmer software from microchip through Human Interface Device (HID) device mode. It is supported on all versions of Windows, including Windows Vista, 7 and Longhorn. No drivers are required to be installed on computer as all windows have inbuilt drivers for HID device. ISP Connector The Programmer can program microcontrollers onboard on which they are installed through In-System Programming (ISP) interface. The ISP connector has following pinouts:

1. Green wire: MCLR – Connects to Reset pin of PIC micro. 2. Yellow wire: PGD – Connects to programming data pin PGD 3. Orange wire: PGC – Connects to programming clock pin PGC 4. Red wire: PGM – Connects to GND on programmer 5. Brown wire: VCC – Target power through USB 6. Black wire: GND – Connect to GND of application circuit
