Welcome to USC Traditional Chinese Dances 7th annual showcase! We are

so thrilled to have you here, and our dancers are all equally as excited to be

performing for you. Our show tonight is the product of nearly 8 months worth

of preparation. These months included a considerable amount of blood, sweat,

tears, and bruises, but above all passion. We hope that our passion for danceand dedication to Chinese culture is as evident in our performance as the

    movements of our bodies.

The theme of our show centers on the magical nature of dreams, and the second

half will feature our dance interpretation of the story of Sleeping Beauty. As we

dance our way across the stage tonight, we hope to not only entertain but also to

inspire dreams. Whether fleeting or enduring, conscious or unconscious, romantic

or ambitious, dreams give us the courage and inspiration to transform our lives.

For many of us on the team, dreams have defined who we are since childhood.

As dancers, one of our dreams is simply to be able to share our passion with

friends, family, and appreciative audiences. We are truly grateful for your support

here tonight as we showcase the results of so many months of hard work and

dedication. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the show!
