Use Amazon Echo to control Tuya

2.Add Devices in Tuya SmartAPP

2.1. Tuya Smart App download

Please download TuyaSmartAPP

Please scan the QR code or serch “TuyaSmart” in APPStore�Androidmarketplace.

2.2. Register a Tuya Smart U.S. accountEnter Tuya Smart Account Registeration page, click“register”on upper

right. (For the first time using,you have to register a new account)

Please choose “U.S.” area (essential)

Enter TuyaSmart after registered successfully.

2.3. Add Tuya Smart device (example as smart light)

Log in Tuya Smart APP. click “Add devices” at the bottom of middle .

Tuya Smart APP support two connecting configuration mode(Hotspot mode & AP mode).

Default configuration is Hotspot mode.

It is in AP Mode when the smart light in the state of flashing fastly(about twice a second) and in Hotspot

Mode when it flashing slowly(about once two seconds). Make sure if the smart light in fast-flash state

after entered “Add Devices” page. If not,you can switch light quickly into fast-flash state by continue

steps”on-off-on-off-on” .Click “indicator light in fastly flashing ” to start adding devices of smart light.

Search wifi router and type in passwords of the router. The devices will remember the SSID and code of router via Tuya Smart APP then use the wifi to connect the internet.

2.4.Device name ModificationAfter added devices successfully, click on devices list and you will see “Info” at upper rigth corner,press to rename your device. Simple and easy pronunciation of English words is recommended.(Amazon Echo support English version at present)

You can Continue adding more than once devices and modify the name by following the steps above.

3. Alexa APP matches Echo

PC version or Alexa Client can be used to match Echo audio.

PC version http://alexa.amazon.com/spa/index.html The function of PC version is similar to Alexa APP so only instruction of CLIENT below. Download amazon alexa APP from google play or APP store

Android version can download directly by search apk on google, eg http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/amazon-mobile-llc/amazon-alexa/echo-1-7-3-release/alexa-1-7-3-2-android-apk-download/

Download success as picture below.

Then sign in with Alexa account ( register an account first) to enter Home page, click upper left corner.

Then click setttings and choose “Set up a new device”.

Choose your echo device. eg. Echo

When page shows as below. Please press on the little dot of your device until the echo light turn into yellow Then click “Continue” . Note: Any PROXY tool is not allowed in this time.

Connect with your own wifi and wait for a few minutes.

Then an introduction vedio shows up, just go on with “next step” and it will in Home page finally. It means amazon APP has bound successfully with echo device.

4. Use Alexa APP binding Tuya Smart account

Click “Skills” in the menu, input and search“TuyaSmart”�

Enter Tuya Smart and click “Enable Skill”

If it shows the page as below after tested by more than one person then it means the account hasbeen bound. You can click “Disabel Skill” to relieve it and go on to bind new Tuya Smart account by clicking “Enable Skill” as last one picture.

Type in the account and passwords of Tuya Smart APP registered before(support U.S. Account only)

Login and enter page as below . It means amazon bound with Tuya account successfully.

5. Voice Control Smart Light

5.1.Discover Devices

Discover devices first. You can voice echo Echo “Discover my devices” Echo will scan the light which has been set by Tuya Smart APP previously and wait for about 20 seconds then Echo will give you feedback.

You could also click “Discover Devices” on Alexa APP. The discovered Tuya device will show inAlexa APP.

5.2. Voice control devices

Voice control light as: Echo, turn on bedroom light Echo, turn off bedroom light Echo, set bedroom light to 50 percent

Echo, increase bedroom light to 50 percent

Echo, decrease bedroom light to 50 percent Note:Name of device must be the same as added in Tuya Smart APPYou could unite a series of light together as a group and control them by one voice order.

After that you can voice as:

Echo, Turn off my smart lights Note:Alexa is the wake name of echo. It can be set as “Alexa, Echo, Amazon” in “Setting”

5.3. Support Skill List

Alexa, turn on [bedroom light]

Alexa, turn off [bedroom light] Alexa, set [bedroom light] to 50 percent Alexa, increase [bedroom light] to 50 percent Alexa, decrease [bedroom light] to 50 percent

Alexa, turn on [fridge socket]

Alexa, turn off [fridge socket] Alexa, turn on [smart heater] Alexa, turn off [smart heater]

Alexa, set [smart heater] to 34

Alexa, raise [smart heater] by 4

Alexa, lower [smart heater] by 2
