INTRODUCTIONYou now own one of the most advanced home water filtration systems available anywhere. The Aqua ✓ Nano utilizes electropositive technology as part of a multi-stage, high flow filtering system with limited pressure drop.

CC (Carbon Core) Cartridge

• Stage 1: Pre-Filtration - The Pre-Filter removes larger suspended solids to help maximize the life of your NanoCeram® cartridge.

• Stage 2: Electropositive Filtration - The second stage utilizes NanoCeram® patented electropositive filtration media with filtration efficiency and dirt-holding capacity for particles as small as a nanometer or .001 micron.

• Stage 3: Advanced Carbon Block Technology - The third stage utilizes carbon block technology and a special sorbent media to absorb and reduce chlorine, lead, tastes and odors.

LP Cartridge (for Low Pressure situations)

• Stage 1: Pre-Filtration - The Pre-Filter removes larger suspended solids to help maximize the life of your NanoCeram® Cartridge.

• Stage 2: Electropositive Filtration - The second stage utilizes NanoCeram® patented electropositive filtration media with filtration efficiency and dirt-holding capacity for particles as small as a nanometer, or .001 micron.

The LP Cartridge comes without a carbon core and has twice as much NanoCeram® for greater particulate holding capacity and very minimal flow restriction.

NOTE: The LP Cartridge WILL reduce chlorine, but it will NOT reduce dissolved lead.

The Aqua ✓ Nano is equipped with an electronic flow meter to advise you when to reorder and to replace the NanoCeram® Cartridge.

FEATURES

• The Aqua ✓Nano is designed to fit under your counter, great for those with limited counter space.

• It filters equally well while running either hot or cold water through the system.

• The Aqua ✓Nano UCU model has a pullout spray head with an armored hose for extra durability that allows you to reach all parts of the kitchen sink as well as fill large containers.

• The Spray or Stream Function gives you the ability to switch from the regular water stream to a spray by pressing the black button on the spray head handle. It is very useful for rinsing fruits and vegetables, washing dishes, etc.

• To ensure your supply of filtered water is uninterrupted, a visual flow meter indicates when it is time to replace the NanoCeram® Cartridge.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS∆ WARNING: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection. Always replace the NanoCeram® filter cartridge when the indicator light turns red.

• This filter is engineered to filter municipally treated water in the home.

• It is essential that you follow the operation and maintenance instructions enclosed for proper performance. Failure to follow the Use and Care instructions will void the warranty.

• Do not use with water over 57˚ C (135˚F) or below 4˚C (40˚F).

Capacity

The Aqua ✓Nano’s NanoCeram® Cartridge has a maximum capacity of one year or 11,355 liters (3,000 gallons), whichever occurs first. The cartridge must be replaced when the indicator light flashes red. Actual capacity will depend on the amount of suspended solids and particles in your local water system. In certain water supplies, tastes or odors may return or the flow may decrease prior to the rated capacity. In these cases, the NanoCeram® Cartridge should be replaced more often.

Note: Contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in your water.

TOOLS RECOMMENDED: PTFE plumber’s tape or thread sealant (use only on threaded connections), plumber’s putty, slotted screwdriver, pliers, adjustable wrench, flashlight, and cloth. Your installation may require new supply lines and/or shut-off valves or other additional tools.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: If you have the single source faucet (cold only), your faucet has only one supply tube and your sink will have only one supply line. Whenever these directions refer to hot and cold supply tubes or supply lines, you will have only a single tube or line to work with.

WARNING: Read all the instructions completely before proceeding. Rena Ware recommends calling a professional if you are uncertain about installing this product! This product should be installed in accordance with all local and state plumbing and building codes.

SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLY BEFORE INSTALLING: Locate water supply inlets and shut off the water supply valves. These are usually found under the sink or near the water meter. If you are replacing an existing faucet, remove the faucet from the sink and clean the sink surface thoroughly.

• Once the faucet is aligned, have one person hold the faucet firmly in place while the other person tightens the faucet to the sink. CAUTION: Adjusting the faucet after tightening to the sink will cut the data cable.

• Tighten faucet firmly to sink. Thread the connector (6I) onto hose (6B) and tighten.

Skip the next section and go directly to step 2 “WATER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS.”

B) FOR SINKS WITH 3 HOLES – DECK PLATE AND FAUCET INSTALLATION:

INSTALLING DECK PLATE: Place screws (4A) into Deck Plate slots. Set plastic bottom plate (4B) over the center hole on the sink, rounded edges up. Put a bead of plumbers’ putty around the inside bottom edge of Deck Plate (4C). Install the Deck Plate (4C) over the three holes in your sink.

You will need two people for installation.

• Insert the faucet Supply Tubes (7A) and Pullout Hose (7B), and Data Cable (7C) through the optional Deck Plate.

*IMPORTANT: When the batteries are installed, the replacement lights will fire a test sequence. If all lights do not light, you may have a broken wire on installation. Contact Rena Ware Customer Service if this occurs.

2. WATER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS: Gently separate hot and cold Supply Tubes (8A), approximately 7 cm (3 inches) apart. Connect your existing water supply lines (8C) to Faucet Inlets (8B). (Supply lines and fittings are not included.)

3. ATTACHING INSTALLATION ASSEMBLY:

a) Disconnect the Inlet Assembly from the top of the Pre-Filter Cartridge. Remove the Pre-Filter from the base by turning counter clockwise.

b) Install two new, high quality, AA batteries with an expiration date of at least one year beyond the day of installation.* (not included) in the Filter Base. Insert the Data Cable into the Data Cable Port on the underside of the base.

c) Insert the Mixed Water “Out” line (9A) into the connector (9B), then insert the inlet tube (9C) into the end of the connector (9B). Insert the outlet tube (9D) into the connector on the Pullout Hose (9E).

NOTE: DO NOT USE PTFE TAPE ON THESE NON-THREADED CONNECTIONS.

Note: When connecting 9A and 9C to 9B, or 9D to 9E, be sure the tubing is completely seated; a small band of gray tape indicates proper tube depth. This should require only amoderate amount of force.

4. INSTALLING THE FILTER CARTRIDGES:

a. Place the NanoCeram® Cartridge in the locking plate on the base. Once inserted into the base, rotate it clockwise slightly to lock.

b. Insert the Pre-filter Cartridge into the locking plate at the top of the NanoCeram® Cartridge the same way.

5. ATTACHING THE INLET ASSEMBLY: The Inlet Assembly attaches to the top of the Pre-Filter Cartridge. It is inserted the same way the cartridges connect. Rotate the Inlet Assembly approximately 1/8 turn clockwise so that the tubing lines up with the Outlet Tube.

6. UNIT START UP: Turn on hot and cold water supplies, and check for leaks above and below the sink.

7. FLUSHING THE FAUCET: To remove any small carbon particles and expel excess air, it will be necessary to flush the faucet. Remove plastic bag (13A) from the end of the hose (13B). Lift the faucet handle (13C) up to the full on position. Run water for 2 minutes. Repeat in hot and cold positions.

8. CHARGING THE SYSTEM: To improve the flow rate and to reduce the “run on” of water after the faucet is turned off the system needs to be “charged”. Charging purges trapped air from the system.

a. Run water through the system for about a minute to saturate the media. Remove the pre-filter cartridge being careful to minimize the water that spills onto the base unit.

b. Pour water into the top hole to fill the NanoCeram® cartridge.

c. Re-install the pre-filter cartridge and again pour in water into the top hole of the pre-filter cartridge until it is full.

9. INSTALLING THE SPRAY HEAD: Do not let hose (15C) retract into Faucet arm (15A). Connect the spray head (15B) to the pullout hose (15C) by turning the metal hose fitting (15D) clockwise, hand tighten. CAUTION: do not over tighten.

10. ATTACHING WEIGHT TO PULLOUT HOSE: Your faucet includes a weight, to help to retract the hose during pullout operation. Attach weight (16A) to the hose using spring clip (16B) at the lowest point on the hose (16C).

11. SECURING INLET LINES: Do not cross the pullout hose (17B) with the inlet supply tubes (17A) to avoid binding, jamming and interference with the movement of the pullout hose.

NOTE: For best results, after sitting overnight or after several hours of non-use, run water through the filter for 1 MINUTE before using.

Using Your Aqua ✓ Nano Water Filter

• Select cold or hot filtered water (if available) by adjusting the faucet handle. All water coming out of the faucet will be filtered.

• Select “stream” or “spray” by pressing the black button on the spray head.

• Pull out the entire spray head for extended reach.

• The filter indicator will flash blue when the filter is functioning properly.

Mounting Bracket

You may place the entire under-the-counter assembled filter on a bracket mounted to the wall or to raise it off the floor of your sink cabinet.

Raw Water Bypass Kit options

To maximize the life of the Aqua ✓ Nano UCU filter cartridges, you may want to use unfiltered water for tasks such as dishwashing, household cleaning or watering plants, etc. Both Bypass Kit options bypass the Aqua ✓ Nano Filter and provide a source of unfiltered water at the kitchen sink.

Side Faucet with a flexible neck installs next to your Aqua ✓ Nano Faucet and requires a secondary hole.

Auxiliary Hose with Sprayer connects under the sink. The sprayer can be installed above the sink next to the Aqua ✓ Nano Faucet or kept out of sight under the sink.

Stage Zero Filter

In areas where the amount of sediments in the water is very high, the Pre-Filter cartridge can clog quicker than expected. The Stage Zero external filter removes the larger particles to prevent this from happening.

It can be easily back-flushed and replaced to allow your Aqua ✓ Nano system to filter the very small things it was designed to remove and let you go longer between Pre-Filter back-flushes and NanoCeram® cartridge replacements.

CARE/MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the Exterior of the Aqua ✓ NanoTo clean the exterior of your faucet, filter cartridges, and base unit, use a clean, damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive liquid soap. Do not use dishwashing soap. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Note: Do not submerge the base unit or let stand in water. Excessive moisture inside the unit will damage it and void the warranty.

Use of polish, detergents, abrasives, cleaners, organic solvents, or acid may cause damage. USE OF OTHER THAN A DAMP SOFT CLOTH AND MILD LIQUID SOAP WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

Replacement Indicator Lights

Your Aqua ✓ Nano features a visual flow meter integrated into the base of the faucet. When water is flowing through your filter, LED (light emitting diode) lights will flash to indicate the following:

• F I LT E R I N G The blue light indicates that the unit is functioning normally.

• R E O R D E R The yellow warning light lets you know approximately 1,893 liters (500 gallons) of life is left in the NanoCeram® Cartridge. Contact your Rena Ware Consultant or Rena Ware Customer Service Center to order a replacement. The blue F I LT E R I N G light also indicates that your filter is still working.

• R E P L AC E The red warning light indicates the NanoCeram® Cartridge’s effective life has ended. The blue F I LT E R I N G light will not illuminate. Replace the NanoCeram® Cartridge before continuing to use your filter.

Maintaining the Pre-Filter

Back-Flushing

You should back-flush the Pre-Filter (up to three times) when a significant reduction in flow occurs. The disposable EM Media Insert should be replaced if back-flushing the Pre-Filter fails to restore acceptable flow.

IMPORTANT: NEVER BACK-FLUSH THE NANOCERAM® CARTRIDGE.

Back-flushing the NanoCeram® Cartridge will damage its internal structure, causing the filter to become ineffective. Back-flushing can also contaminate the downstream media of the NanoCeram® so that it will no longer filter properly.

Note: The back-flushing process requires two people.

1. Make sure the water is turned off.

2. Remove the back-flow adapter from the Inlet Assembly.

3. Remove the Inlet Assembly by turning it counterclockwise until it releases.

4. Remove the Pre-Filter Cartridge from the NanoCeram® Cartridge by turning it counterclockwise until it releases.

5. Invert the Pre-Filter cartridge and place the Back-Flow Adaptor on the outlet nipple of the Pre-Filter.

6. Insert the outlet nipple of the Inlet Assembly into the other end of the Back-Flush Adapter and keep pressure on it. Hold the inverted Pre-Filter over the sink, a bucket or some other receptacle that can hold at least 2 gallons (7.5 liters).

7. Have a second person turn on the water. When the water is turned on, there will be a small amount of back pressure forcing the Inlet Assembly out of the Back-Flush Adapter so you must hold the Inlet Assembly, Back-Flush Adapter, and Pre-Filter together to keep pressure on it and keep them from coming apart.

8. Allow the water to run for 5 minutes, shake the cartridge and tap it against the sink until the flow rate has increased

Cleaning or Replacing the Media InsertClean the Media Insert regularly between replacements to extend the life of the cartridge.

To clean:

1. Open the housing by turning the top counterclockwise.

2. Temporarily reconnect the inlet assembly to the filter base. Wash the reusable housing and rinse off the media insert with water and dry. When washing the media mild rubbing is acceptable. Do not scrub the exterior of the media too hard as it can be damaged permanently. DO NOT USE SOAP.

3. After cleaning, insert the Media with the outlet nipple pointing down and the punt up.

NOTE: Back-flushing and rinsing will improve flow but will not restore the Pre-Filter Cartridge to “like new” condition. The improvement will be less each time you back-flush and rinse, until it is necessary to replace the Pre-Filter Cartridge to restore the flow rate to an acceptable level.

Maintaining The NanoCeram® CartridgeIMPORTANT: NEVER BACK-FLUSH THE NANOCERAM® CARTRIDGE.

Back-flushing the NanoCeram® cartridge will damage its internal structure, causing the filter to become ineffective. Back-flushing can also contaminate the downstream media of the NanoCeram® so that it will no longer filter properly.

Replacing the NanoCeram® CartridgeNOTE: The Pre-Filter and the NanoCeram® are not necessarily replaced at the same time. The led indicator lights refer only to the NanoCeram® cartridge. Replace it when the flow meter’s red warning light flashes. It will also be time to replace the batteries.

1. Disconnect the NanoCeram® cartridge by removing the filter assembly and pre-filter cartridge. Turn the NanoCeram® cartridge counterclockwise until it releases. Discard the used cartridge.

4. Close the housing by turning the top clockwise until the arrows marked on the housing are almost aligned and reinstall.

2. Remove the battery compartment door in the bottom of the base by unscrewing the two screws and by gently prying the door open using a flat screwdriver.

3. Remove the old batteries, wait 20 seconds, and then replace with two new, high quality, AA batteries with an expiration date of at least one year beyond the day of installation. This will reset the flow meter to “0” and the LED lights will start flashing again when water is flowing through the filter.

4. Install a new cartridge and charge it. (See “INSTALLATION” section).

5. Run water for 2 minutes to remove any carbon particles and expel trapped air.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Water is not coming out of the spray head.

• Make sure the source water valves are turned on.

• Make sure the tubing is smooth and straight, without kinks.

Water leaks out between filter cartridges or at the filter inlet assembly or filter base.

• Separate the cartridges at the point of the leak. Each of the cartridges, and the filter inlet, should have two o-rings on the raised outlet found on the bottom of the cartridge. Check to ensure that the o-rings are in place and properly seated in the grooves provided for them.

Water leaks from the tubing.

• Check the tubing for cuts or nicks.

Water continues to flow out of the spray head after water is turned off.

• Water may continue to flow from the spray head for a short time due to a build-up of pressure within the filter but will typically stop by itself.

• Trapped air in the filter may force water out after the tap has been turned off. To eliminate the trapped air, fill the Cartridges with water until you see water leaking through the top hole of the Cartridges. This is known as “charging” the cartridge and is done manually with the inlet assembly removed from the top of the filter cartridge. See “Charging the System” (step 8 under INSTALLATION).

Lights on the Faucet Collar do not work.

• Make sure that the Data Cable is properly plugged into the Data Port.

The electronic flow meter stops functioning.

Reset the meter by using the following procedure:

1. Remove the battery compartment door in the bottom of the base by unscrewing the two screws and by gently prying the door open using a flat screwdriver at the point shown in the diagram. See “Replacing the NanoCeram® Cartridge” (step 2).

2. Remove the old batteries, wait 20 seconds, and then replace with two new high quality AA batteries.

3. Replace the NanoCeram® filter cartridge, (see “Maintaining NanoCeram® Cartridge” section). The unit will reset to its default settings.

WARRANTY

The Aqua ✓ Nano Limited Warranty

Rena Ware warrants its AquaNano water filtration systems to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.This Product is for home use on municipally treated water only. The Warranty does not cover damage resulting from use of the Product on water having high chemical interference, suspended materials or visual solids. The Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of valving connections, o-rings, rubber and plastic parts, or filter cartridges. The Warranty does not cover defects resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, use of the Product in a manner other than as described in the instructions and on the specifications label, repairs or alteration outside a Rena Ware facility, or lack of maintenance. Use of replacement parts other than genuine Rena Ware replacement parts or removal of the specifications label will void this Warranty. The Warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of this Product.

Remedy in the Event of Warranty ClaimAt its option, Rena Ware will repair or replace a Product, or any part thereof, which is determined to be defective. If a replacement is made, the Product for which the replacement is made becomes the property of Rena Ware. This remedy shall be the exclusive remedy available.

To Obtain Warranty ServiceTo obtain warranty service, send a detailed written description of the claimed defect to the closest Rena Ware Service Center. You may be required to return the Product, at your expense, to the nearest Rena Ware Service Center in order to obtain warranty service. You may also be required to provide proof of purchase. If, after inspection, Rena Ware determines that a covered defect exists, Rena Ware will bear the cost of return delivery. Other Warranty LimitationsThis Warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Any implied warranty shall be equal in duration to the above express Warranty.Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. INTRODUCCIÓNYa posee uno de los sistemas de filtración de agua más avanzados disponibles en el mundo. El Aqua ✓ Nano utiliza tecnología electropositiva como parte de un sistema de filtración en etapas múltiples de alto flujo con caída de presión limitada.

Cartucho CC (núcleo de carbono)

• Etapa 1: Prefiltración El prefiltro elimina los sólidos suspendidos de mayor tamaño, lo que extiende

considerablemente la vida de su cartucho NanoCeram®.

• Etapa 2: Filtración electropositiva La segunda etapa utiliza medios de filtración electropositiva NanoCeram®

patentados con eficiencia en filtración y capacidad de absorción de impurezas y partículas pequeñas de hasta un nanómetro o 0,001 micrones.

• Etapa 3: Tecnología avanzada de bloque de carbono La tercera etapa utiliza tecnología de bloque de carbono y un medio absorbente

especial para absorber y reducir cloro, plomo, sabores y olores.

Cartucho LP (para baja presión de agua)

• Etapa 1: Prefiltración El prefiltro elimina los sólidos suspendidos de mayor tamaño, lo que extiende

considerablemente la vida de su cartucho NanoCeram®.

• Etapa 2: Filtración electropositiva La segunda etapa utiliza medios de filtración electropositiva NanoCeram®

patentados con eficiencia en filtración y capacidad de absorción de impurezas y partículas pequeñas de hasta un nanómetro o 0,001 micrones.

El cartucho LP no incluye el núcleo de carbono, pero tiene el doble de NanoCeram®, por lo que ofrece mayor retención de partículas y mínima restricción de flujo de agua.

NOTA: El cartucho LP reduce el contenido de cloro, pero NO reduce el plomo disuelto.

El Aqua ✓ Nano viene con un medidor de flujo electrónico que indica cuándo ordenar y reemplazar el cartucho NanoCeram®.

CARACTERÍSTICAS

• El Aqua ✓ Nano se ha diseñado para instalarlo bajo el fregadero de la cocina, ideal para las personas con poco espacio sobre el mueble de la cocina.

• Filtra igual de bien el agua fría y caliente que pasa por el sistema.

• El modelo Aqua ✓ Nano UCU tiene un rociador extraíble con una manguera reforzada más duradera que le permitirá llegar a todo el fregadero y llenar recipientes grandes.

• La función tipo lluvia/chorro le permite cambiar de chorro normal a tipo lluvia presionando el botón negro ubicado en la parte posterior de la manilla del rociador. Esta función es útil para lavar frutas y vegetales, los platos y el fregadero.

• Un medidor de flujo le indicará cuándo reemplazar el cartucho NanoCeram® para garantizar que siempre tenga agua filtrada.

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD∆ ADVERTENCIA: No se utilice con agua que no sea segura desde el punto de vista microbiológico o cuya calidad se desconozca sin la debida desinfección. Reemplace siempre el cartucho del filtro NanoCeram® cuando la luz indicadora roja se encienda.

• Este filtro es de uso doméstico y está diseñado para filtrar el agua tratada por la municipalidad.

• Es muy importante cumplir con las instrucciones de uso y mantenimiento aquí contenidas para lograr un óptimo desempeño. El incumplimiento de las instrucciones de uso y mantenimiento anulará la garantía.

• No se use con agua a una temperatura superior a 57°C (135°F) o inferior a 4°C (40°F).

Capacidad

El cartucho NanoCeram® del Aqua ✓ Nano tiene una capacidad de un año u 11.355 litros (3.000 galones) lo que ocurra primero. El cartucho NanoCeram® se debe reemplazar cuando la luz indicadora roja se encienda. La capacidad real dependerá de la cantidad de sólidos y partículas suspendidos en el sistema de agua de su localidad. En algunos suministros de agua, los olores y sabores pueden regresar o el flujo puede reducirse antes de alcanzar la capacidad nominal. En estos casos, el cartucho NanoCeram® se debe reemplazar con mayor frecuencia.

Nota: Contaminantes u otras sustancias que este dispositivo para el tratamiento del agua elimina o reduce no se encuentran necesariamente en su agua.

INSTALACIÓN

NOTA: Si su grifo tiene una sola salida (solo agua fría), tiene un solo tubo de suministro, por lo que su fregadero únicamente tendrá una línea de suministro. Cuando se haga referencia en estas instrucciones a los tubos o las líneas de suministro de agua caliente y fría, solo tendrá un tubo o una línea en la cual trabajar.

B) PARA FREGADEROS DE TRES ORIFICIOS – INSTALACIÓN DE LA PLACA BASE Y EL GRIFO:

PARA INSTALAR LA PLACA BASE: Coloque los tornillos (4A) en los orificios de la placa base. Coloque la placa inferior de plástico (4B) sobre el orificio central del fregadero, con los bordes redondeados hacia arriba. Coloque un poco de masilla de plomero alrededor del borde inferior interno de la placa base (4C). Instale la placa base (4C) sobre los tres orificios del fregadero.

• Inserte los tubos de suministro (7A), la manguera (7B) y el cable de datos (7C) a través de la placa base opcional.

*IMPORTANTE: Cuando instale las baterías, las luces activarán una secuencia de prueba. Si no se encienden todas las luces, es posible que se haya dañado un cable en la instalación. En ese caso, comuníquese con el Servicio al Cliente de Rena Ware.

2. CONEXIONES DE SALIDA DE AGUA: Separe cuidadosamente las salidas de agua caliente y fría (8A), aproximadamente 7 cm (3 pulgadas). Conecte las líneas de suministro de agua (8C) a las entradas de la llave de agua (8B). (Las líneas de suministro y los accesorios de instalación no están incluidos).

3. INSTALACIÓN DEL UTILLAJE:

a) Desconecte la caja de entrada en la parte superior del cartucho del prefiltro. Saque el prefiltro de la base girándolo en sentido antihorario.

b) Instale dos baterías AA nuevas (no incluidas) de buena calidad en la base del filtro. La fecha de vencimiento de las baterías debe ser superior a un año como mínimo después de la instalación. Conecte el cable de datos en el puerto del cable de datos que se encuentra en la parte inferior de la base.

c) Inserte la línea de salida de agua mixta (9A) en el conector (9B), luego introduzca la línea de entrada del filtro (9C) por el otro extremo del conector (9B). Introduzca la línea de salida del filtro (9D) en el conector de la manguera extraíble (9E).

NOTA: NO UTILICE CINTA DE TEFLÓN EN CONEXIONES QUE NO SEAN DE ROSCA.

Nota: Cuando conecte 9A y 9C a 9B, o 9D a 9E, asegúrese de que los tubos hayan calzado bien; una pequeña línea de cinta gris indica que la profundidad es correcta. Esto debería requerir poca fuerza.

4. INSTALACIÓN DE LOS CARTUCHOS DEL FILTRO:

a. Luego de insertar el cartucho NanoCeram® en la base, gírelo ligeramente en sentido horario para que calce bien.

b. El cartucho del prefiltro se inserta en la placa de seguridad encima del cartucho NanoCeram® de la misma forma.

5. INSTALACIÓN DE LA CAJA DE ENTRADA: La caja de entrada se coloca encima del cartucho del prefiltro. Se inserta de la misma forma en que se conectan los cartuchos. Gire la caja de entrada aproximadamente 1/8 en sentido horario para que la manguera quede alineada con el tubo de salida.

6. PUESTA EN FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA UNIDAD: Abra las llaves de paso de agua caliente y fría y compruebe que no haya fugas encima del fregadero ni debajo de este.

7. DESCARGA DEL GRIFO: Para eliminar partículas pequeñas de carbono y exceso de aire, deberá dejar correr agua por el grifo. Retire la bolsa plástica (13A) del extremo de la manguera (13B). Levante la palanca del grifo (13C) por completo y deje correr agua por dos minutos. Repita el proceso para el agua caliente y fría.

8. CARGA DEL SISTEMA: Para mejorar el flujo y reducir la “fuga” de agua luego de cerrar la llave, se debe “cargar” el sistema, ya que esto purga el aire atrapado en él.

a. Deje correr agua por el sistema durante un minuto aproximadamente para saturar el cartucho. Saque el cartucho del prefiltro con cuidado para que no caiga agua sobre la base de la unidad.

b. Vierta agua por el orificio superior para llenar el cartucho NanoCeram®.

c. Vuelva a instalar el cartucho del prefiltro y vierta agua nuevamente por su orificio superior hasta llenarlo.

9. INSTALACIÓN DEL ROCIADOR: No permita que la manguera (15C) se retraiga al brazo del grifo (15A). Conecte el rociador (15B) a la manguera extraíble (15C) en sentido horario y apriete manualmente. ADVERTENCIA: No lo apriete demasiado.

10. INSTALACIÓN DEL CONTRAPESO A LA MANGUERA EXTRAÍBLE: Su grifo incluye un contrapeso que facilitará la retracción de la manguera. Instale el contrapeso (16A) a la manguera con la abrazadera de ballesta (16B) en el punto más bajo de la manguera (16C).

11. SUJECIÓN DE LÍNEAS DE ENTRADA: No cruce la manguera extraíble (17B) con los tubos de suministro de entrada (17A) para evitar que la manguera extraíble se atasque, obstaculice u obstruya.

NOTA: Para obtener mejores resultados, a primera hora del día o después de varias horas sin uso, deje que el agua corra por el filtro durante UN MINUTO antes de usarlo.

Cómo usar su filtro de agua Aqua ✓ Nano

• Seleccione la opción de agua filtrada fría o caliente (de haberla) moviendo la manilla del grifo según corresponda. El agua que salga del grifo estará filtrada.

• Seleccione “stream” (chorro) o “spray” (lluvia) presionando el botón negro ubicado en el rociador.

• Extraiga el rociador para tener mayor alcance en todo el fregadero.

• La luz azul que indica filtración titilará cuando el filtro esté funcionando correctamente.

Soporte

Puede colocar todo el filtro debajo del fregadero sobre un soporte instalado en la pared, para separarlo del piso del gabinete del fregadero.

Equipo de Bypass para agua no filtrada

Para maximizar la vida de los cartuchos del filtro Aqua ✓ Nano UCU, quizás desee usar agua no filtrada para lavar los platos, limpiar la casa o regar las plantas, etc. Las dos opciones de “bypass” circunvalan el filtro Aqua ✓ Nano y suministran agua sin filtrar a su fregadero.

Grifo lateral con cuello flexible, se instala al lado del grifo de su Aqua ✓ Nano, y necesita un segundo agujero.

Manguera auxiliar con rociador, se conecta debajo del fregadero. El rociador se puede instalar sobre el fregadero, al lado del grifo del Aqua ✓ Nano o mantener oculto debajo del fregadero.

Filtro Etapa Cero

En áreas donde la acumulación de sedimentos en el agua es muy alta, el cartucho del prefiltro puede obstruirse más rápido de lo esperado. El filtro externo Etapa Cero ayuda a prevenir esto, ya que atrapa las partículas más grandes.

Se puede lavar con flujo invertido a presión y reemplazar fácilmente para que su sistema Aqua ✓ Nano filtre las partículas más pequeñas, para lo que fue diseñado, y espaciar más los lavados con flujo invertido a presión del prefiltro y reemplazos del cartucho NanoCeram®.

CUIDADO/MANTENIMIENTO

Limpieza exterior del Aqua ✓ NanoUse un trapo limpio húmedo y jabón neutro no abrasivo para limpiar la parte exterior de su grifo, los cartuchos del filtro y la base de la unidad. No use lavaplatos. Enjuague bien con agua tibia.

Nota: No sumerja ni asiente la unidad en agua. La humedad excesiva en el interior de la unidad la dañará y anulará la garantía.

El uso de pulituras, detergentes, abrasivos, limpiadores, solventes orgánicos o ácido puede dañar la unidad. USAR IMPLEMENTOS DISTINTOS A UN TRAPO LIMPIO HÚMEDO Y JABÓN NEUTRO ANULARÁ LA GARANTÍA.

Luces indicadoras de reemplazoSu Aqua ✓ Nano incluye un medidor de flujo visual en la base del grifo. Cuando el agua fluya por su filtro, luces LED (diodo emisor de luz) titilarán para indicar:

• F I LT E R I N G ( F I LT R A R ) : La luz azul indica que la unidad funciona correctamente.

• R E O R D E R ( O R D E N A R ) : La luz amarilla indica que le quedan aproximadamente 1.893 litros (500 galones) de vida útil al cartucho NanoCeram®. Comuníquese con su Asesor Rena Ware o con el Centro de Servicio Rena Ware para ordenar repuestos. La luz azul “F I LT E R I N G” también indica que su filtro está funcionando.

• R E P L AC E ( R E E M P L A Z A R ) : La luz roja indica que la vida efectiva del cartucho NanoCeram® ha expirado. La luz azul “F I LT E R I N G” no se encenderá. Reemplace el cartucho NanoCeram® antes de volver a usar su filtro.

Mantenimiento del cartucho del prefiltro

Lavado con flujo invertido a presión

Cuando el flujo de agua disminuya significativamente, debe lavar el prefiltro con flujo invertido a presión (hasta tres veces). El elemento desechable EM se debe reemplazar cuando el lavado con flujo invertido a presión no restaure el flujo de agua adecuado.

IMPORTANTE: NUNCA LAVE EL CARTUCHO NANOCERAM® CON FLUJO INVERTIDO A PRESIÓN.

Lavar el cartucho NanoCeram® con flujo invertido a presión dañará y contaminará su estructura interna y el filtro perderá su efectividad, por lo que dejará de filtrar agua.

Nota: Se necesitan dos personas para realizar este procedimiento.

1. Asegúrese de que la llave de agua esté cerrada.

2. Retire el adaptador de flujo invertido de la caja de entrada.

3. Retire la caja de entrada girándola en sentido antihorario, hasta que se afloje.

4. Retire el cartucho del prefiltro del cartucho NanoCeram® girándolo en sentido antihorario, hasta que se afloje.

5. Voltee el cartucho del prefiltro y coloque el adaptador de flujo invertido sobre la boquilla de salida del prefiltro.

6. Inserte la boquilla de salida de la caja de entrada en el extremo contrario del adaptador de flujo invertido y ejerza presión sobre este. Sostenga el prefiltro invertido sobre el fregadero, un balde/cubeta u otro contenedor de al menos 2 galones (7,5 litros) de capacidad.

7. Pida a la otra persona que abra la llave de agua. Cuando esté abierta, un poco de contrapresión tratará de sacar la caja de entrada del adaptador de flujo invertido, por lo que deberá mantener juntas la caja de entrada, el adaptador de flujo invertido y el prefiltro, ejerciendo presión sobre ellos para evitar que se separen.

Limpieza o reemplazo del elemento desechablePara extender la vida del cartucho, limpie el elemento desechable con frecuencia antes de reemplazarlo.

Cómo limpiarlo:

1. Abra el alojamiento girándolo en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.

2. Reconecte la caja de entrada temporalmente a la base del filtro. Lave el alojamiento reusable y enjuague el elemento desechable EM con agua y séquelo. Cuando lave el elemento, puede frotarlo suavemente. No restriegue el exterior del elemento demasiado fuerte, ya que podría dañarse permanentemente. NO USE JABÓN.

3. Después de limpiar el elemento desechable, insértelo con la boquilla de salida hacia abajo y la parte plana hacia arriba.

NOTA: El lavado con flujo invertido a presión y el enjuague mejorarán el flujo, pero no harán que el cartucho del prefiltro quede “como nuevo”. El flujo mejorará cada vez menos, hasta que sea necesario reemplazar el cartucho del prefiltro para restaurar el flujo a un nivel aceptable.

Mantenimiento del cartucho NanoCeram® IMPORTANTE: NUNCA LAVE EL CARTUCHO NANOCERAM® CON FLUJO INVERTIDO A PRESIÓN.

Lavar el cartucho NanoCeram® con flujo invertido a presión dañará y contaminará su estructura interna y el filtro perderá su efectividad, por lo que dejará de filtrar agua.

Reemplazo del cartucho NanoCeram®NOTA: El prefiltro y el NanoCeram® no se remplazan necesariamente al mismo tiempo y las luces LED solo indican el estado del cartucho NanoCeram®. Reemplácelo cuando titile la luz roja del medidor de flujo. También será el momento de reemplazar las baterías.

1. Desconecte el cartucho NanoCeram® retirando la caja de entrada y el cartucho del prefiltro. Gire el cartucho NanoCeram® en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta que se afloje. Deseche el cartucho usado.

4. Cierre el alojamiento girando la parte superior en sentido de las agujas del reloj, hasta que las flechas marcadas en el mismo estén prácticamente alineadas, y reinstálelo.

2. Retire la tapa del compartimiento de baterías que está en la parte inferior de la base, desatornillando los dos tornillos y levantando la tapa con cuidado con un destornillador punta plana

3. Retire las baterías usadas, espere 20 segundos y luego instale dos baterías AA nuevas de buena calidad que venzan como mínimo al año de instaladas. Esto reinicializará el medidor de flujo en “0” y las luces LED titilarán nuevamente cuando se haga correr agua por el filtro.

4. Instale un cartucho nuevo y cárguelo. Consulte la sección “INSTALACIÓN”.

5. Deje correr agua por dos minutos para eliminar cualquier partícula de carbono y aire atrapado.

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

No sale agua por el grifo.

• Asegúrese de que las llaves de agua estén abiertas.

• Asegúrese de que los tubos estén holgados y rectos, sin hendiduras.

Sale agua entre los cartuchos del filtro o en la caja de entrada del filtro o en la base del filtro.

• Separe los cartuchos donde exista la fuga de agua. Cada cartucho y la entrada del filtro deberían tener dos juntas tóricas en el orificio de salida elevado que se encuentra entre las tres patas. Compruebe que las juntas tóricas estén en su lugar y bien colocadas en las ranuras correspondientes.

Hay fuga de agua en los tubos.

• Verifique que los tubos no estén rotos ni tengan hendiduras.

Sigue saliendo agua por el grifo después de cerrar la llave de agua.

• Puede seguir saliendo agua por el grifo por corto tiempo debido a la presión contenida en el filtro, pero dejará de salir.

• El aire atrapado en el filtro puede hacer que salga agua después de haber cerrado la llave de agua. Para eliminar el aire retenido, llene los cartuchos con agua hasta que vea salir agua a través del orificio superior de los cartuchos. Esto se conoce como “cargar” el cartucho, y se hace manualmente sin la caja en la parte superior del cartucho del filtro. Consulte “Carga del sistema” (paso 8 en INSTALACIÓN).

Las luces en el cuello del grifo no funcionan.

• Asegúrese de que el cable de datos esté bien conectado al puerto de datos.

El medidor de flujo no funciona.

Reinicie el medidor utilizando uno de los siguientes procedimientos:

1. Esta garantía no cubre los defectos que resulten del uso inadecuado, abuso, negligencia, accidentes, uso del Producto de un modo diferente al que se describe en las instrucciones y en la etiqueta de las especificaciones, reparaciones o alteraciones efectuadas fuera de los locales de Rena Ware, o por falta de mantenimiento. Usar piezas de reemplazo que no sean piezas de reemplazo verdaderas de Rena Ware o quitar la etiqueta de las especificaciones cancelará esta garantía. Esta garantía no cubre los daños incidentales o consecuentes que resulten del uso de este producto.

Alcance de la garantía

คุณควรสวนล้างไส้กรองขั้นต้น�(ทำ�ได้�3�ครั้ง)�เมื่อน้ำ�กรองไหลอ่อนลงอย่างมาก��เมื่อสวนล้างไส้กรองแล้วน้ำ�กรองยังไหลอ่อนให้เปลี่ยนตัวกรองน้ำ�

ข้อระวัง��ห้ามสวนล้างไส้กรองนาโนซีราม® เป็นอันขาด การสวนล้างไส้กรองนาโนซีราม® จะทำ�ให้โครงสร้างไฟเบอร์ภายในเสียหาย�และยังทำ�ให้มีสิ่งสกปรกหลุดลอดเข้าไปภายใน�มีผลให้ไส้กรองนาโนซีราม® ไม่สามารถกรองน้ำ�ได้อย่างปกติ

6.� ใส่ชุดรับน้ำ�เข้าครอบกับข้อต่อไส้กรองขั้นต้นแล้ว�กดชุดรับน้ำ�เข้ากับไส้กรองขั้นต้นและนำ�ไปวางในอ่างล้างชามหรืออ่างขนาดใหญ่�

7.� ให้อีกคนช่วยเปิดน้ำ�ก๊อกประปา�เมื่อเปิดก๊อกน้ำ�ประปา�แรงดันน้ำ�ประปาจะดันให้ชุดรับน้ำ�ขยับขึ้นมา��คุณต้องกดชุดรับน้ำ�ไว้ให้ติดกับไส้กรองขั้นต้น

3.� หลังจากล้างทำ�ความสะอาดแล้ว�ใส่ตัวกรองกลับเข้าไปในกล่อง�ให้จุกอยู่ด้านล้างและแกนอยู่ด้านบน

5.�ปล่อยน้ำ�กรองให้ไหลประมาณ�2�นาทีเพื่อขจัดสิ่งสกปรกและไล่อากาศออก

น้ำ�ไม่ไหลออกจากก๊อกเครื่องกรองน้ำ�

• ดูว่าวาล์วน้ำ�ประปาเปิดอยู่หรือไม่

• ดูว่าสายยางไม่หักงอ�หรือถูกทับแบน

น้ำ�รั่วระหว่างไส้กรองทั้งสอง�หรือรั่วตรงชุดรับน้ำ�ประปาเข้า�หรือรั่วบริเวณฐานเครื่อง

• ถอดไส้กรองออกมาดูจุดที่รั่ว��ที่ไส้กรองและฐานจะมีแหวนยาง�โอริง�ติดไว้แห่งละ�2�ชิ้น��ดูว่ายางโอริงอยู่ในสภาพดีและติดตั้งถูกต้อง�

น้ำ�รั่วจากสายยาง

• ตรวจดูว่าสายยางมีรอยฉีกขาดหรือรอยตัดหรือไม่�

น้ำ�กรองยังไหลออกจากก๊อกงวงช้างแม้ปิดก๊อกน้ำ�ประปาแล้ว

• เนื่องจากภายในเครื่องกรองน้ำ�ยังมีแรงดันของน้ำ�อยู่��น้ำ�จึงยังไหลออกชั่วครู่และจะหยุดไปเอง��อย่างไรก็ตามคุณสามารถลดแรงดันน้ำ�ได้โดยการหมุนวาล์วผันน้ำ�ไม่ให้น้ำ�ประปาไหลเข้าเครื่อง

บริษัท�รีนา-แวร์�(ประเทศไทย)�จำ�กัด�ขอรับประกันว่า�เครื่องกรองน้ำ�แอคควา�✓ �นาโน�จะปราศจากข้อบกพร่องของวัสดุและกระบวนการผลิตเป็นระยะเวลา�1�ปี�นับแต่วันที่ซื้อ

เครื่องกรองน้ำ�นี้สำ�หรับใช้ในบ้านกับน้ำ�ประปาที่บำ�บัดแล้วและจ่ายโดยการประปาของรัฐ� การรับประกันนี้ไม่คุ้มครองความเสียหายอันเป็นผลมาจากการใช้เคร่ืองกรองน้ำ�นี้ไปกรองน้ำ�ท่ีมีสารเคมีเจือปนหรือน้ำ�ที่มีตะกอนมาก� � การรับประกันนี้จะไม่คุ้มครองการสึกหรอจากการใช้งานปกติของวาล์วน้ำ�� ยางปะเก็น�อุปกรณ์อะไหล่ที่เป็นยางและพลาสติค�ตลอดจนไส้กรองต่างๆ

การรับประกันนี้ไม่คุ้มครองถึงความบกพร่องชำ�รุดที่เกิดจากการใช้ผิดวิธี� การใช้อย่างไม่ทนุถนอม� ความประมาทเลินเล่อ� อุบัติเหตุ� ใช้ผิดไปจากคำ�สั่งและข้อคุณสมบัติที่ได้กล่าวไว้� ซ่อมแซมหรือเปลี่ยนแปลงโดยพลการ� หรือขาดการบำ�รุงรักษา� � การเปลี่ยนอะไหล่โดยไม่ใช้อะไหล่แท้ของรีนา-แวร์� หรือฉีกแกะป้ายคุณสมบัติของรีนา-แวร์ออกจากตัวเครื่อง� จะมีผลทำ�ให้การรับประกันเป็นโมฆะ� � การรับประกันนี้จะไม่คุ้มครองถึงความเสียหายที่เกิดจากการใช้เครื่องกรองน้ำ�นี้

การแก้ไขความบกพร่องในกรณีที่อยู่ภายใต้เงื่อนไขการรับประกัน

กรณีที่เครื่องกรองน้ำ�ได้รับการตรวจสอบแล้วว่าเกิดความบกพร่องภายใน� 1� ปีนับแต่วันที่ซื้อรีนา-แวร์จะซ่อมหรือเปลี่ยนชิ้นส่วนที่บกพร่องให้ในกรณีเปลี่ยนชิ้นส่วนให้ใหม่� ชิ้นส่วนที่บกพร่องนั้นจะตกเป็นทรัพย์สินของรีนา-แวร์��การแก้ไขข้อบกพร่องจะมีเพียงที่กล่าวข้างต้นเท่านั้น

การขอรับบริการประกันลูกค้าต้องแจ้งโดยละเอียดสภาพอาการบกพร่องให้กับศูนย์บริการลูกค้ารีนา-แวร์� � พร้อมแสดงหลักฐานการซื้อเครื่องกรองน้ำ�นี้� ลูกค้าอาจต้องส่งเครื่องกรองน้ำ�ไปที่ศูนย์บริการลูกค้าของรีนา-แวร์โดยลูกค้าต้องชำ�ระค่าส่งเอง��หากรีนา-แวร์ตรวจสอบพบข้อบกพร่องอยู่ภายใต้การรับประกันแล้ว��รีนา-แวร์จะส่งเครื่องกรองน้ำ�คืนให้ลูกค้าเอง

ข้อจำ�กัดอื่นๆ�ของการรับประกันการให้การรับประกันจะเป็นไปตามที่ได้กล่าวแล้วโดยชัดเจนข้างต้น��การรับประกันโดยปริยายหรือตามความเข้าใจอื่นๆ�จะเป็นไปตามที่กล่าวข้างต้นเช่นกัน

ใบรับประกันนี้ใช้กับเครื่องกรองน้ำ�แอคควา� ✓ นาโนเท่านั้น� � สินค้าอื่นๆ� ของรีนา-แวร์จะมีใบรับประกันแยกออกไป
