Welcome to our program, welcome to our show. This is

the story of the 4 Little Pigs, it is a story you all know.

Four Little Pigs? We don’t know that story!

Well, you will soon.

Let’s get started.

Once upon a time there was a Mother Pig with four little

pigs. She called her pigs together.

What is going on?

What do you want?

Something is up!

We should listen.

Children, you are grown and the time has come for you

to go out in the world and find your own homes.

OK, I guess we can do that, mother dear.

It will be work!

We are good at working.

Bye, mother dear.

Be sure to build strong houses to keep the wolf away.

Yes, mother! Bye!

The pigs each went their own separate ways.

The first pig saw a woman selling twigs.

I’ll buy those!

Said the first little pig.

The first little pig didn’t listen to his mom.

He built his house out of twigs that weren’t strong.

The second little pig met a man selling sticks.

I’ll buy those!

The second little pig didn’t listen to his mommy.

He built his house out of sticks to save money.

The third little pig met a woman selling bricks.

I’ll buy those!

Said the third little pig.

Now the third little pig did listen to his mom.

Houses built of bricks are quite strong.

The fourth little pig was the thinking skills pig.

The thinking skills pig bought something better than

bricks.

Better than bricks?

Yes, but you have to wait to find out.

Be patient, like our teacher always says.

Oh, OK.

The wolf went to the house of the first little pig.

The pig with the house of twigs?

Yes, me, and how about that?

I am the wolf and I blew that house down flat.

I bet first little pig went to live with the second little pig.

Right?

Right, and the wolf went to the second little pig’s house,

made of out twigs.

Me again, and how about that?

I am the wolf and I blew that house down flat.

Right. I was afraid that might happen.

Then the first and second little pigs went to live with the

third little pig.

The wolf couldn’t blow down the brick house.

He was mad.

I can’t blow this house down!

I’m mad!

But the wolf had a plan.

You mean?

Yes, I put on a pizza delivery uniform.

We opened the door, the wolf ran in, and locked us out.

Terrible! Just terrible!

The three little pigs went to find their brother, the fourth

little pig.

I hope he had some good ideas.

I am the thinking skills pig.

I have good ideas!

I wonder what kind of house our brother has?

They found the fourth little pig’s house.

It was silver and shiny.

Someone is knocking, I will open the door.

Hello, brothers, visiting?

We are here to live with you.

You won’t believe what the wolf did!

He blew my house down!

He blew my house down, too!

He moved in my house.

He tricked me with some pizza.

Brothers, don’t worry! We are moving away from the

wolf.

How will we do that? He lives near here!

This isn’t a house, it is a rocket!

Put on your safety belts, we are blasting off!

10-9-8-7-5-4-3-2-1, blast off!

And the four little pigs blasted off in space, without me.

They lived happily ever after on another planet. The end!

The following pages are to be used either as signs for

the children to hold up or as nametag necklaces for

the cast members.

More independent readers could be assigned the

parts of the narrators and 4th little pig. Early fluent

readers could be assigned the parts of the wolf and

pigs 1, 2, and 3.
