1. Report access: If you have access to multiple reports, this is where you can toggle between them. Click the report title and a drop-down menu will appear. For this example, we see 2020 MGMA DataDive Provider Compensation.

2. Choose a benchmark: Step 1 within MGMA DataDive allows you to choose a benchmark to see an overall metric for evaluation. Click “Show more options” to see a comprehensive list of benchmarks to view.

3. Display by: Step 2 within MGMA DataDive allows you to filter the data. For example, if you choose “Total Compensation” in Step 1, and “Geographic Section” in Step 2, you will be shown total compensation benchmarks (median) specific to four U.S. regions. Click “Show more options” to see a comprehensive list of filter options.

4. Limit data by: Step 3 within MGMA DataDive allows you to filter even further by the criteria you select. For example, with all the above criteria still active, and you select “Years in Specialty,” you will be able to see the total compensation, by each region, of someone in a specific specialty with anywhere from one to over 23 years of experience in that specialty.

5. Choose measures: To the right, just above the data table, you can click “Choose measures” to see a drop-down menu of even more specific values. For example, if you select “75th %tile” along with the above criteria, you will then be shown a data table with both median compensation benchmarks and values in the 75th percentile of compensation benchmarks.
