1 Overview
1.1 Concepts
1.1.1 CampspaceWorkspace is a public cloud service product that uses cloud computing technology to provideWindows desktops and applications of PCs as cloud services for users. Workspace allowsusers to access cloud desktops for office work anytime, anywhere without time, location,terminal, and application restrictions. Workspace supports the on-demand lease and paymentmodes, and users can return their desktops when they do not need their desktops any more.
Campspace is a Workspace service optimized and customized for campus users. Campspacehas the advantages of Workspace and campus services. Users can enjoy the characteristics ofWorkspace, such as on-demand use and secure access anytime, anywhere, and can also obtainoptimal experience and additional services by using the local advantages of campuses.
1.1.2 Thin ClientA thin client (TC) is a PC-standard-compliant computer that uses an embedded processor andsmall-sized flash memory and runs a simplified OS. TCs of various models provide differentperformance, peripheral ports, and operation portals. The variety of TCs meets therequirements of different scenarios, such as common office, high security, and high-performance graphics design.
1.1.3 Software ClientA software client (SC) runs on physical computers (PCs) running Windows or Mac OS and isused for logging in to and accessing Campspace virtual desktops.
1.1.4 Mobile TerminalA mobile terminal is a mobile device used for logging in to and using Campspace virtualdesktops, including iPads, iPhones, and Android smart devices.
1.1.5 Virtual Machine and Virtual DesktopA virtual machine (VM) is a software-simulated complete computer system that has completehardware system functions and runs in a completely isolated environment.

A virtual desktop is a VM where desktop agent software is installed and that can interact withdesktop management components. End users can log in to virtual desktops by using TCs,browsers, SCs, or mobile terminals and use virtual desktops like using common PCs.
1.2 Application ScenariosConventional private desktop clouds require high investments and the deployment takesseveral weeks. Campspace can be provisioned and deployed quickly. When Campspace-baseddesktop environments are adopted, neither early investment nor continuous infrastructuremanagement is required. You can provide secure desktop experience with various accessoptions for your users in simple and cost-effective ways. You can subscribe to a complete setof cloud desktop computing services, such as computation and persistent storage, with certainfees. Your users can obtain experience better than that provided by conventional desktops.
Campspace can be applied to mainstream industries including government and public utilities,telecommunications, energy, finance, transportation, medical care, education, broadcasting,media, and manufacturing, and is applicable to diversified scenarios, such as common office,security office, branch office, and public terminal (call center, business hall, and trainingclassroom).
l Mobile office scenario
Users can log in to Campspace to work from mobile devices anytime and anywhere.Campspace is applicable for employees who are on business frequently and need to workin many locations.
l Short-term use scenario
Campspace and necessary application system services and be configured for short-termemployees of enterprises. After the short-term employees leave, their services can bestopped.
l Security office automation (OA) scenario
Campspace can provide enterprises with office solutions that comply with the securitystandards of enterprises. Permission to access physical devices can be controlled anddata is not locally stored, thereby improving the security of enterprise data.
l Branch office scenario
Employees who work in branches or external employees can log in to Campspace toaccess applications in the headquarters. Data is not locally stored. Campspace isapplicable for employees who work in branches and external employees.
l High-definition (HD) graphics processing scenario
Campspace provides 3D graphics processing capabilities for end users and supportsmultiple high-performance graphics software, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)and Geographic Information System (GIS), 3D game software, and omnimedia videoediting software. Campspace can meet the high-performance graphics processingrequirements of customers from multiple industries (including engineering,manufacturing, oil, automobile, medical care, game, and media).
1.3 FunctionsTable 1-1 describes the functions provided by Campspace.

1.4 Access and Use
1.4.1 Accessing CampspaceHuawei Enterprise Cloud provides a web-based service management platform. Users canaccess Campspace by using a management console. For details about how to log in to theCampspace management console, see Logging In to the Campspace Management Console.
1.4.2 Campspace Packages
Campspace Packages

NOTICEl When an order expires, a 7-day grace period is provided. Services in the grace period are
still available.l After the grace period elapses, a 15-day reservation period is provided. Resources in the
reservation period are unavailable but retained.l The resources are automatically deleted after the reservation period elapses and the order
is not renewed.

2 Getting Started
2.1 Logging In to the Campspace Management Console
ScenarioLog in to the Campspace management console.
Procedure
Step 1 Enter https://www.hwclouds.com/ in the address box of the browser, and press Enter.
The Huawei Enterprise Cloud page is displayed.
NOTICEIf a dialog box indicating a plug-in running request is displayed in the browser, enable theplug-in to avoid any effect on proper login and use.
Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.

2.2 Purchasing Campspace Virtual Desktops
ScenarioSelect and purchase related packages and assign virtual desktops to end users aftersubscribing to the Campspace service. After the administrator purchases virtual desktops, endusers will be informed that Campspace virtual desktops are provisioned by email.

Procedure
Step 1 Enter https://www.hwclouds.com/ in the address box of the browser, and press Enter.
The Huawei Enterprise Cloud page is displayed.
Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.
Step 5 On the Overview or Desktop page, click Campspace Subscription.
The Campspace Subscription page is displayed.
Step 6 In the Resource Node drop-down list, the nearest campus node will be associatedautomatically by the system. You can also select other campus nodes based on your actualrequirements.
Step 7 Select a package based on the actual situation.
Step 8 Assign desktops.l Manual input
Set Username used for logging in to Campspace virtual desktop and Email used forreceiving the notification email.
NOTE
You can click Add User to add other users as required. A maximum of 10 users can be added eachtime.
l Batch import. A maximum of 50 users can be added each time.– Click Download Template.– Fill in columns A and B in the Excel template. Column A specifies the Username
used for logging in to virtual desktops. Column B specifies the Email used forreceiving notification emails.
– Save the settings and close the Excel template.– Upload the file.
Step 9 Drag the slider to set Validity Period.
Step 10 Click Purchasing the Product Immediately.
The Confirm Order page is displayed.
Step 11 Check whether the values of Order Details and Price are correct.
Step 12 Read the Huawei Desktop Cloud Service Agreement.
Step 13 Select I have read and agree to the Huawei Desktop Cloud Service Agreement.
Step 14 Click Submit.
The Payment page is displayed.
Step 15 You can pay for your order by using the following methods:

Step 16 After you select a payment method and pay for your order, the Campspace virtual desktopsare purchased successfully.

2.3 Logging In to a Virtual Desktop Using a TC
Scenario
Log in to a Campspace virtual desktop by using a TC.
Procedure
Step 1 Connect all cables and power on the TC.
Step 2 Click Start, and choose Control Center.
Step 3 In Control Center, select Cloud Client.
Step 4 Click Add. In the Edit Server Info window that is displayed, set Server Name to acustomized name and set Server Address to the address obtained from the notification email.
Step 5 Click OK to save the configuration information.
Step 6 Click Launch to go to the VM login page.
Step 7 On the VM login page, enter your domain account and password, and click Login to go to theVM list page.
Step 8 On the VM list page, click to log in to the VM.

2.4 Logging In to a Virtual Desktop Using a Browser
Scenario
Log in to a Campspace virtual desktop by using a browser.
ProcedureNOTE
A Windows PC is used as an example in the following steps. The specific operation steps may bedifferent on different OSs.
Step 1 Open the browser, enter the virtual desktop login address obtained from the notification emailin the address box, and press Enter.
The virtual desktop login page is displayed.
Step 2 Enter your domain account and password, and click Login.
The VM list page is displayed.
Step 3 On the VM list page, click to log in to the VM.
Step 4 Install the client plug-in upon your first login.

Scenario
Log in to a Campspace virtual desktop by using an SC.

Step 4 Install the cloud client software.
Step 5 After the cloud client software is installed, double-click the CloudClient icon on the desktopto start the SC.
Step 6 On the Address Manager page, click Add. In the Edit Server Info window that is displayed,set Server Name to a customized name and set Server Address to the address obtained fromthe notification email.
NOTE
The Edit Server Info window will be displayed automatically upon your first login.

Step 7 Click OK to save the configuration information.
Step 8 Click Launch to go to the VM login page.

2.6 Logging In to a Virtual Desktop Using a MobileTerminal (Android)
ScenarioFusionAccess is an application installed on a mobile terminal and used for accessing andusing Campspace virtual desktops. If you need to use Campspace virtual desktops to work athome or during your trips, you can download FusionAccess to your Android devices and useit to access and use Campspace virtual desktops.

NOTICEPasswords cannot be changed on mobile terminals currently. When you log in to your virtualdesktop for the first time, you need to use a TC or PC to log in to your virtual desktop andchange the default password.
Procedure
Step 1 Open the application store on your Android mobile terminal.
Step 2 Search for FusionAccess.
Step 3 Download and install the FusionAccess desktop client software.
Step 4 After the FusionAccess software is installed, open the software on your Android mobileterminal.
Step 5 Tap Add Account.
Step 6 On the Add page that is displayed, set Label to customized description, set Address and UserName to the address and username obtained from the notification email, and set Password tothe new password.
Step 7 Tap save in the upper-right corner to save the configuration.

2.7 Logging In to a Virtual Desktop Using a MobileTerminal (iOS)
Scenario
FusionAccess is an application installed on a mobile terminal and used for accessing andusing Campspace virtual desktops. If you need to use Campspace virtual desktops to work athome or during your trips, you can download FusionAccess to your iOS devices and use it toaccess and use Campspace virtual desktops.
NOTICEPasswords cannot be changed on mobile terminals currently. When you log in to your virtualdesktop for the first time, you need to use a TC or PC to log in to your virtual desktop andchange the default password.
Procedure
Step 1 Open App Store on your iOS mobile terminal.

Step 2 Search for FusionAccess.
Step 3 Download and install the FusionAccess desktop client software.
Step 4 After the FusionAccess software is installed, open the software on your iOS mobile terminal.
Step 5 Tap New Account.
Step 6 Tap in the upper-right corner.
The New Account page is displayed.
Step 7 Set Description to customized description, set Address and User Name to the address andusername obtained from the notification email, and set Password to the new password.
Step 8 Tap Save in the upper-right corner to save the configuration.

3 Administrator Operation Guidance
3.1 Desktop Management
ScenarioStart, shut down, or restart a created virtual desktop.
Procedure
Step 1 Enter https://www.hwclouds.com/ in the address box of the browser, and press Enter.
The Huawei Enterprise Cloud page is displayed.
Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.
Step 5 Click Desktop.
The Desktop page is displayed.
Step 6 In the upper-right corner of the virtual desktop list, set Assigned User, and click .
Step 7 Select a virtual desktop, and click Start/Stop/Restart in the upper-left corner of the virtualdesktop list or in the Operation column.
Step 8 Confirm the displayed information.

3.2 User Management
ScenarioExport data, reset the password, unlock the account, or delete the account for a created user.

Exporting Data
Step 1 Enter https://www.hwclouds.com/ in the address box of the browser, and press Enter.
The Huawei Enterprise Cloud page is displayed.
Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.
Step 5 Click User.
The User page is displayed.
Step 6 Click Export.
The system exports user information to a local computer.

Resetting a Password
You can reset the password of a user when the user loses or forgets the login password.
Step 1 Enter https://www.hwclouds.com/ in the address box of the browser, and press Enter.
The Huawei Enterprise Cloud page is displayed.
Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.
Step 5 Click User.
The User page is displayed.
Step 6 In the row where the user whose password needs to be reset, click Reset Password.
The dialog box for password resetting is displayed.
Step 7 Click OK. The new password will be sent to the user's email address automatically by thesystem.

Unlocking an Account
You can unlock the account for a user when the user's account is locked because the userenters an incorrect password consecutively.

Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.
Step 5 Click User.
The User page is displayed.
Step 6 In the row where the user whose account needs to be unlocked, choose More > Unlock.
The dialog box for account unlocking is displayed.
Step 7 Click OK. The account is unlocked successfully.

Deleting an Account
You can delete a specific account as required. You cannot delete a user if the user has virtualdesktops.
Step 1 Enter https://www.hwclouds.com/ in the address box of the browser, and press Enter.
The Huawei Enterprise Cloud page is displayed.
Step 2 Click Log In in the upper-right corner to go to the login page.
Step 3 Use the administrator account to log in to Huawei Enterprise Cloud.
Step 4 Click , and select Workspace.
The Campspace management console is displayed.
Step 5 Click User.
The User page is displayed.
Step 6 In the row where the user whose account needs to be deleted, choose More > Delete.
The dialog box for user information deletion is displayed.
Step 7 Click OK. The account is deleted successfully.

3.3 User Login Records
ScenarioView user login records to know the VM running status and user login status. This helpstroubleshooting and system maintenance.

5.1 What Is Campspace?Workspace is a public cloud service product that uses cloud computing technology to provideWindows desktops and applications of PCs as cloud services for users. Workspace allowsusers to access cloud desktops for office work anytime, anywhere without time, location,terminal, and application restrictions. Workspace supports the on-demand lease and paymentmodes, and users can return their desktops when they do not need their desktops any more.
Campspace is a Workspace service optimized and customized for campus users. Campspacehas the advantages of Workspace and campus services. 6.6 What Software Is Campspace Compatible With?Campspace has no restrictions on software. Any application that is compatible with Windows7 can run on Campspace. Step 1 Power on the TC.
Step 2 Perform the following operation based on the TC type.l If a Linux TC is used, go to Step 3.l If a Windows TC is used, go to Step 8.
Step 3 Click Start, and choose Control Center.
Step 4 Double-click Display.
Step 5 Select Optimum settings.
Step 6 Select the display mode based on site requirements.l Duplicatel Extend
Step 7 Select the main monitor based on site requirements.l DVIl VGA

Step 8 Right-click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution.
Step 9 Set Multiple displays based on site requirements.l Duplicate these displaysl Extend these displays

Step 4 Select Open Multiple Monitor (The configuration will take effect after reconnect).

Step 8 Deselect Open Multiple Monitor (The configuration will take effect after reconnect).
