CUSTOMER RAKE REQUIREMENT REGISTRATION (CRR) All non EDRM (Coal) programmes have to be registered through CRR. This implies that for all programme traffic outside the purview of EDRM office (for Coal and all other commodities), customers have to register a CRR first, before booking an e-Demand. USER GUIDELINES

A. CUSTOMER RAKE REQUIREMENT REGISTRATION (CRR)

All non EDRM (Coal) programmes have to be registered through CRR. This implies that

for all programme traffic outside the purview of EDRM office (for Coal and all other

commodities), customers have to register a CRR first, before booking an e-Demand.

CRR has to be initiated by consignee/consumer. CRR is always registered for a single

rake, single source and single destination rake demand. However the e-Demand

registered through CRR can have multiple stock types and forwarding notes.

Steps to follow for registering a CRR:

1. Open the following website in the web browser of your computer system

https://www.fois.indianrail.gov.in/

2. Make sure that you are a registered user of the e-Demand Module and have a

valid User Id and Password to access the application (for User registration

process, please refer to the User Registration Manual)

3. Also you should be authorized by the Organization for registration of

Programme

4. Login with your registered User Id (as provided) and the valid password created

by you after first login

5. Go to ‘Program Traffic/Customer Rake Requirement’ menu on the top and click

on its ‘Customer Rake Requirement’ submenu

6. Screen shown below will appear

7. Customer Name and Customer code will appear by default if Logged-In user is

registered only for one Organization

Customer registered with multiple organization will get help to select the

required consignee

Help will be provided for Customer Name , Location, Group Rake Commodity

and Rake Type

This enables user convenience and allows correct data entry

Group Rake Commodity and Rake Type are optional inputs, rest all are

mandatory inputs

8. Click on Retrieve

Initially, while registering the CRR for first time no data will be visible

Subsequently, all previously entered CRR with their current status will be listed

9. Click on 'Add CRR' to create a new CRR

10. Enter the details in the screen shown below to create a new CRR

For similar loading pattern, the User can create a Pattern for the details while

saving the CRR Details and can select the Pattern Id to register the next CRR.

In Rake Details panel, Pattern Id can be selected and its details can be retrieved

in all the input fields by clicking on 'Retrieve' button

Alternatively, if user does not remember the pattern id, details of related

pattern can be retrieved by clicking 'Help' button

This screen will get open showing all the details of existing patterns:

Click on required pattern, its stock details will appear in second grid. Now click

the 'SELECT PATTERN' button and press 'BACK' button to go back to previous

page and then press 'Retrieve' button as described above

A fresh CRR without any pattern ID can be placed by entering all the details in

'Rake Details' and 'Stock Details' panel

8W is auto generated input based on Stock Type and Stock Units

In Enter Stock Details panel, fill all the stock details and press 'Add Row' button

This will add the mentioned stock details in the grid and will clear the fields

Users has option to fill more stock details, if required

You have an option to check the generate pattern for the CRR

This will help user to create a pattern which will auto fill the entries, next time,

when you select the saved pattern id

User are requested to remember the pattern id for future use

12. After submitting the entries, the CRR is saved with a new Rake Programme

Number, which is provided to the user for future references as shown below

13. The new CRR will be saved with status 'I' and can be viewed by clicking 'BACK'

button

14. 'Add New' button will take you to previous page to create a fresh CRR

15. After this stage, CRR is visible to Sponsor/Consignor for endorsement

16. If in a CRR, the consignor is same as consignee, then there is no need for

endorsement

17. In such cases, status of CRR will appear as Endorsed 'ES' and they shall be

directly available for sanctioning

18. In all other cases, endorsement is required by the consignor

19. This completes the CRR registration process

B. CRR ENDORSEMENT

As CRRs are registered by the Consignee, before sanctioning the CRRs, the same needs

to be endorsed by the Sponsor/Consignor. However, If incase, the consignor and

consignee of the CRR are same, then endorsement is not required.

Steps to follow for endorsement of CRR:

1. For endorsement, Sponsor should have valid user id and role

2. Go to Endorsement menu, click on ‘Customer Rake Requirement' sub menu

3. This screen will appear:

4. Enter the required details and click on 'Retrieve' button

5. All the registered CRR for the sponsor/consignor will be displayed as shown below

6. Select the CRR to be endorsed with incomplete status, which is denoted as 'I'

7. Click on ‘Endorsement/Rejection' button

8. Following page will open with the CRR details:

9. User has option to either Endorse or Reject the CRR

10. In case of rejection, Rejection remarks are mandatory and a mail will be sent to

the CRR registration user stating the rejection reason

11. The CRR status will become as 'ES' in case of successful Endorsement and 'ER' in

case of Endorsement Rejection

12. A link has been provided to view profile of the user who has registered the CRR

next to label 'Entry By' as marked in the picture above

C. CRR SANCTION

All the CRRs registered by the Customer/Consignee and endorsed by the

Sponsor/Consignor needs to be sanctioned/approved by the competent Railway

Authority (IR Official) before the actual e-Demand to be placed and loading takes place.

Steps to follow for sanctioning of programmes:

1. For Sanction of endorsed programme, IR official should have valid user id and role

2. Go to Sanction menu, click on 'Customer Rake Requirement' sub menu

3. Enter the Month of Programme along with the filters for which you want the data

4. Click on retrieve to get the list of endorsed programmes for Sanctioning

5. Select the programme to be sanctioned and then click on 'Sanction/Rejection' button

6. Sanction CRR screen will open showing the details of CRR entered at the time of its

registration and endorsement

7. By default, Reject option is selected, for which rejection remarks are mandatory

8. In case of rejection a mail will be sent to both the users: CRR Registration user and CRR

Endorsement user stating rejection reason

9. The CRR status will become 'SR' which denote it as 'Sanction Rejected'

10. Choose 'Sanctioned' to proceed for Sanctioning

11. The CRR status will become 'S' after sanctioning

12. User has another option at the time of sanctioning as 'SANCTION NOT REQUIRED'

13. This can be chosen in cases where sanctioning is not required for those CRRs but

acceptance/approval for placing e-Demand is required by the Railway Authorities.

14. The CRR status will become 'NR' in these cases

15. By default system calculated Priority Class is shown as per priority schedule order

16. Enter Sanctioning Authority Name, Designation and Remarks

17. Change Priority Class, if required and click submit

18. This completed the CRR Sanctioning Process

D. CRR Pattern

A Consignee/Consumer can create a pattern for frequently entered CRRs. This works as

a template for registering a CRR. Creating a Pattern is also available while entering the

CRRs.

Steps to follow to create CRR pattern:

1. Go to 'Program Traffic Coal & Coke - EDRM' menu, click on 'CRR Pattern' sub

menu

2. Screen shown below will open

3. Customer Name will appear by default if Logged-In user is registered only for

one Organization
