Execute "backup".This function verifies whether or not errors occurred in the system backup files ofUSB HDD.Delete existing backup files from the USB HDD.Immediately verifies any errors from USB HDD after backup.
(There are 2 or more partitions in the USB HDD; the USB drive only appears thefirst partition, because PCClone EX backup function only retains the system filesin the first partition of USB HDD. Thus, please check whether or not the firstpartition has sufficient space.)

system of USB HDD must be FAT32. But the Fat32 format Utility in Windows 2000/ XP onlysupport the size up to 32GB, therefore, PCCloneEX program particularly provides

Restore to the pre-makeactive partition.Restore to the whole of harddisk as a single partition.Automatically arrange to be2 partitions and restore allthe files to first partition.

However, how many partitions in your fist physical hard disk; after you execute thisfunction. PCClone EX will delete your data in the pre-setup active partition only;then restore the OS (backup files) to this active partition; the other partitions won't bedestroyed or deleted.
Such as: there are C, D and E partitions in the hard disk. If the partition C is theActive Partition. After execute this function, all the data in the partition C will bedeleted. Then restore the OS (backup files) to the partition C. The other partitions Dand E won't be affected.
Restore Option
Options 1
After use this function. PCClone Ex will erase all data in the first partitions. Andautomatically arrange the hard disk as a singe partition: then restore the operatingsystem (including all data) to the hard disk.
Such as: there are over 2 partitions in the hard disk like C/D/E. Execute this function.All data and partitions(C/D/E) will be deleted. And arrange as a singe partition C.Then, restore OS & all the backup data to the partition C.
Options 2( All data in the hard disk will be deleted, if you select this option.)Notice:
After select this function, PCClone EX will erase the present data in the physical harddisk that includes all of other partitions in the whole hard disk; and automaticallyarrange the hard disk to be 2 partitions; then, restore the OS (backup files) to the firstpartition; The send partition will be blank area. (Drive C: 40%, Drive D: 60%)
Such as: there are over 2 partitions in the hard disk like C, D and E. After execute thisfunction, PCClone EX will erase all the files and partitions C, D, E and arrange to be2 partitions C and D. Then, restore the OS (backup files) to the partition C.

There are two modes for file backups; one is "Add~", this function only backs upadditional files to the external USB HDD; the other one is "Discard~", thisfunction duplicates all data & OS from your PC to the external USB HDD.
When users back up using their hot key, a default dialog box will pop up to askingfor confirmation. If users want to backup directly, please cancel the default.
