• A FocusA power point display can have a large visual impact at the front of a church and will draw the focus of the congregation during worship, not just while singing but also in prayers and when a preacher is talking.

The image used as a background can be used to guide the focus of the congregation.

Avoid changing the background unless as a way of refocusing the congregations thoughts.
A plain background is better than the wrong focus or one which obscures the text

A blank slide with the background image placed between each item gives the worship leader / preacher space between each item.

• Clarity - contrast
Good contrast between background and text is essential. If text becomes unreadable it can spoil all your hard work. What looks good on the screen may not be so good through the projector.

• Clarity - Font
Font size should be at least 32 and 40 is ideal
Font style should be clear to read and avoid using lots of different ones.Good examples areArial, Calibri, Times Roman, Comic Sans.
