Using Clever Single-Sign On to
Access Student Software
Programs
The following programs are available through the Clever Single Sign On (SSO) option:
BrainPop Suite: BrainPop, BrainPop Jr, BrainPop ELL (if the school has a subscription)
Lexia Core 5
iReady
Renaissance Place (STAR Reading, STAR Math, Accelerated Reader)
Rosetta Stone (Spanish and English)
Student Gmail Account
Google Classroom
PowerSchool Student & Parent Portal Accounts
USATestPrep
Edgenuity
Reading A-Z
The single sign on (SSO) option allows students to enter one log-in and password to access all of the products
available. This eliminates the need to remember multiple log-ins and passwords.
To sign in to Clever, navigate to https://clever.com/in/mcduffie.
Choose log in with Clever.
Enter the student’s 6-digit student ID number for the
user name and password. Click “Log in.”
Once logged in to Clever, you will see available web-based apps for your school. Included are the system and school
webpages as well as the student Gmail account log-in.
McDuffie Student Gmail Login
To access Gmail, click the tile that reads “McDuffie
Student Gmail Login” and enter your Gmail login and
password.
Enter the student’s Gmail address, located on the schedule mailed to parents/guardians on August 7.
Email addresses for students are generally configured as
graduation year + first initial + last name + last two digits of 6-digit student ID + @student.mcduffie.k12.ga.us
Example: A 2021 senior named John Doe with a 6-digit student ID of 123456 would have an email address
like this:
Enter the student’s email password: mcs + 6-digit student ID
The 6-digit student ID number is found on the schedule mailed to parents/guardians on August 7. It’s
commonly known by students as the “lunch number.”
Example: John Doe would have a password of mcs123456.
Google Classroom via Gmail
Log in to your Gmail account using the directions
above.
Click the “waffle” (the nine dots) next to your name
and then click Google Classroom.
Google Classroom via Clever
To access Google Classroom for the first time, enter
the student’s Gmail address and password (same as
above).
Click “Update.”
If prompted at the next screen, click “Update and Log
in.”
iReady
Click on the iReady icon.
The student will be directed to the program to begin
work.
Renaissance Place (STAR Reading, STAR Math, Accelerated Reader)
Click on the Renaissance Place icon.
You’ll be directed to the program to begin work.

Click on the USATestPrep icon.
You’ll be directed to the program to begin work.

Click on the icon for the selected program.
You’ll be directed to the program to begin work.
Lexia Core 5
Click on the Lexia Core 5 icon.
You’ll be directed to the program to begin work.
Rosetta Stone (English and Spanish)
Click on the tile for the appropriate program to be
logged in to begin work.
Logging out of Clever
Click the down arrow next to your name. Click “Log
out.”
