What is a Graphical Score Report?
• Graphical Score Reports provide score data visually using “bar graphs” so that candidates’ scores can be compared more easily
• On the Graphical Score Reports longer bars equal better performance
Click on the “Graphical Score Report” link in
the C4 Administrator’s
Program
You open the Graphical Score Report feature from the C4 Administrator's Program
This is what appears when you open the Graphical Score Report feature
In this example we had clicked on the
“Last Name” header and the candidates
were sorted alphabetically by their last name
Hint #1: You can re-arrange the list of candidates by clicking on the header of the column you wish to sort
(such as clicking on “Last Name”)
You can also sort by Identification Number, First Name, or Registration Date if you wish
You can limit the candidates to be shown in the list by:
the time frame in which test takers registered the first time they took the
C4 test; and/or
who tested within a specified time frame; and/or
who tested using a specified AutoTest code; and/or
who took a specific test.
Hint #2: You can limit the candidates who appear in the list using the “Candidates to be Listed” choices above
After you have chosen how you want to limit the data, you must click on the “Update List” button to apply that limit. Then, only those who were
specified will remain. In this example, we selected only those whose registration date is between 4/29/09 and 6/15/09.
Note: You do not need to click on “Update List” if you do not limit names (See Administrator’s Manual for more details about this option)
4/29/09
6/15/09
You can individually select each of the candidates whose
scores you wish to view graphically

The scores of only those candidates who are checked will appear in the report
You can also click on the “Check All” button if you wish to select all of the candidates in the list

You should decide which scores you want to view for the selected test takers using the “Report Options” pull-
down menu from the following choicesBest Scores: Highest score ever achieved for each test by each selected
test taker (This is the default)Best Scores within Selected Test Dates: Highest score ever achieved
within the specified time period for each test by this test taker (You must set the time period in the “Candidates to be listed” portion in this dialogue box)
First Scores: The scores from the first time the test taker took each testLatest Scores: The scores from the latest time the test taker took each
test
The default selection is “Best
Scores”
If you wish to see other than
the “best scores” that test takers obtained,
use the pull-down menu to choose another
option

candidates
Important Note
• In order for cutoff scores to appear in the Graphical Score Report, you must set the cutoff scores using the “Set Cutoff Scores” feature in the Administrator’s program
• Please see the “Setting Cutoff Scores” presentation for more details on this
You can sort by the Test Takers’ overall score
Example of scores sorted from high score to low score
Select this option to sort by descending overall scores
You can also alphabetically sort by the Test Takers’ names
Example of alphabetically sorted score list
A B
C D
E F
G H
I J K …
Select this option to
sort alphabetical
ly by last names
Select this option to include the scores of test takers who passed all of the tests in the
AutoTest Code (This is the option that employers use most often
when using C4 for hiring purposes)
Select this option to include the scores of test takers who did not
pass all of the tests in the AutoTest Code
(This option is generally not used when choosing those to be considered for hiring)
Select this option to include the scores of the
Job Experts who validated this AutoTest
Code(This option is not used when
choosing those to be considered for hiring)
In our experience…
• Many employers find it beneficial to consider only those candidates who have passed all of the required tests in the AutoTest Code– Those who fail one or more tests may
have difficulties in those areas if hired– Those who fail one or more tests are
more likely to need additional supervision and training if hired
The next section of this presentation provides
information about creating printed versions of the
Graphical Report
Select this option to include the chart shown to the left in the printed report
Select this option to include a table that contains the
candidates’ test scores in the printed report
The option to include phone numbers and/or email address in the printed
report will only be active if at least one test taker who took the chosen AutoTest Code provided that
information

passed all of the tests in the AutoTest Code was selected as an option
To print the graphical reports you must open the print function from your browser's “File” pull-down menu; or you can press the
P and Ctrl keys at the same time to open the printer function on your computer
If the report requires more than one page when printed, cutoff-score information will
appear on each of the additional pages
