Red Onion is an important economic plant and make income to agricultural in Ban-Bon and More amount in each year to agricultural Ban Young Chum Noi District. Agricultural in Si-sa-ket grown Red onion two kinds as Lab-Lae its could take with in 50-60 Days and Si-sa-ket its could take with in 70-80 days. They could take the products in during November 2006-2007 in spring season. There are land for planting red onion 25,357 Rais. And to be damaged land 430 Rais. And the land could take for plant 24,927 Rais. To increasing form last year 2007/2008 amount 4,964 Rais, or increasing in percentage 24.76%. Most of red onion are distribution for cooking in land and exporting, there is amount 70% and 30% percentage. Buying from the wholesaler in the province and send to retailer. Si-sa-ket province in each year a group of trader will be regulator the price and market condition for red onion in each year. The first for setting the price, the trader will observe about condition in land market and oversea market condition.

Some of seller red onion there have directed contact. When arrive season for taking red onion. There are some buyer red onion will take the cars to buy at the local village. When both of them talk in satisfy for selling the seller will decide to sell red onion, but the price is some low that an agricultural sold, that’s the price is low in the some time, the trader will buy, in addition to the various group of merchants also have relation contact to an agricultural who grown the red onion in many features, that’s to be a system for able to control the price of red onion in Si-sa-ket province. Some of merchant they have been helped the agricultural who grown the red onion for borrowing money and various factor for investment to grown red onion such as fertilizer and red onion breed and to be a buyer red onion from an agricultural (Agriculture District Office Yang Chum Noi. 2008)

To seeking the income to the local village for growing red onion to be taking of local wisdom that has from collected since many aged of an ancestor, until become to be an important economic plant for export, and very important case to interested. The researcher was interest to studied about worship belief to effect of growing red onion in the stylish of local wisdom and to study factor that an effected to growing red onion in success and have more increase to community in concept of sufficiently, which of the result can take to be sample for making income for other community.

The purposed of researching:

1. To Study the worship, belief of the growing red onion.

2.To Study how to use the local wisdom of the grown red onion.

3.To Study the effect of the local wisdom the grown red onion.

The method of Research:

1 Step : Studying from information and research from document or an article in magazine or website and research to concern.

• 2 Step : Kept of the field information by interview who’s concern for general data; Indept-Interview and Focus Group for using to get income; The grow of red onion. The instrument employed to collect data were a set of population, time and places and analyzed data were Generalizability. Theory and Grounded theory

This researching to be Qualitative Research there are 5 months for study (May 2008 – September 2008). To operating information for researching 2 step such as :

2) How to use the local wisdom of grown of red onion found as followings :

2.1) The local wisdom of choosing the species of red onion.

The local people choosing the local red onion and Lab - Lae red onion species. Sometime they bought from the neighbor house but must change every 2 years for preserve this plants. Selecting from the short leaves, round head and strong roots after that take them to hang, cut them roots and their contains in semen bag after 5-6 mounts they can take them to plant.

2.2) The wisdom of choosing the seed-bed.

They will dig the soil white ant and mix together with soil or to make raise the soil up, On September they will make raise the soil up for preserve water flood, on December preparing the seed-bed. For growing. Last time they used buffalo but they using tractor nowadays because very fast and comfortable.

2.3) The wisdom of preparing the soil.

Local people use the local wisdom of how to adapting acid the soil by take the soil white ant which lye mix together with clay for balance. And then put fertilizer, which there are chemical fertilizer and natural fertilizer. They used the natural fertilizer its made from cow dung because they can reduce a capital of produce. Some family they used plant of pea mix the soil for good quality and to plow for a second time. (plough over)

2.4) The wisdom of prepare

Observing the whether before growing the red onion to develop of instrument easy to grown dig the soil is “Bug-Gling” after that take the onion to put in the soil in deep about ¾ and spray kill in sect and then get the stack put on the soil with giving the light to each hold of the stack for protect the surface soil get dry. The stack will protect surface soil, to serve the humid and comfortable to take of jaunt that had a lot of the soil. After that flow the water on the soil.

2.5) The local wisdom of taking care of red onion.

They early woke up for watering the plants by garden hose and pump water. Watering depend on condition. There is insecticide spray, put fertilizer (mixe together between chemical fertilizer and natural fertilizer, plants Hormone, growing of plants depend on watering and direct enemy is worm.

2.6) The local wisdom for harvest.

Harvest or “ Koo - Hom” they will onion harvest after 50 – 70 days which we can observe from the yellow leaves and take them to dry on bamboo hang about 14-15 days and preparing for sell.

2.7) The local wisdom of preparing red onion for selling.

They can fresh and dry distribution. Kept from the field then take them hang until dry and tie, after that there are some of buyer come to buy at home for continue sell. The red onion that already dried will have per kilo one set. There had an employment for separate and tie them these group of them called already tied red onion, some of framer will direct sale to trade in down town. The knowledge and the wisdom to growing red onion’s people Ban-Yang-Chum-Noi which there have from the passed that them is the limited that to effected many lost of local wisdom such as

1. The ancestor wouldn’t to continue in growing red onion to be a result of growing red onion must take time and more forbearance. The peoples who is this career must be love and know this value an important. The reason’s ancestor were changed because of the parent would like to support their children to have high education so, the children were change the concept for making the career. Most of them would like to work at the company. The firm more than to growing an onion at home.

2. The limited for transfer skill knowledge. Most of children in the Village have not much interest to learn about wisdom or growing onion process. The peoples told that the skill knowledge took from growing red onion which had a good produce form obserbing and try to adapt about careless in process growing in every step them become self wisdom. The method for teaching to be practical did not transfer with the letter or to be texts book, but some one interested to learn about the wisdom how to growing the red onion, will come form local village or neary district in the village.

3. The knowledge hasn’t to be an organization system, For

these original wisdom to learn one self then hasn’t manage to be system, no nothing process

how to teach, so that couldn’t transfer, except there is some one interested, but very few.
