Paragraph alignment refers to the position of text in relation to the sides of the page.
Left aligned means that the left edge of the paragraph is straight, and the right edge is ragged. This is the default.Right aligned means that the right edge of the text is straight, and the left edge is ragged.Centered means that the left and right edges are equally distant from the sides of the page.Justified means that both the left and right edges are straight against the sides of the page.
The paragraph dialog box can also be used to format text.
It is accessed by clicking the Dialog Box Launcher in the Paragraph group on the Ribbon’s Home tab.

To insert symbols that don’t appear on the keyboard, select the Symbol option on the Ribbon’s Insert tab.
Click a symbol to place itat the insertion point.

When a web site or email address is typed, Word automatically formats it as a hyperlink.
The user can then press the Ctrl key and click the hyperlink to open a browser window to view the Web page or email program.

You can add a hyperlink to any text using the Hyperlink button on the Ribbon’s Insert tab to display the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.

A thesaurus is a collection of synonyms, which are words that have similar meanings.
chilly / cool A thesaurus also provides antonyms, which
are words with opposite meaning.chilly / warm
Related words and phrases are also shown in the thesaurus.

Place the insertion point in the word and click Thesaurus on the Ribbon’s Review tab.
The Research task pane showsthe results for the chosen word.
Click the arrow to the right ofthe word and choose Insert toreplace your selected word.
