Ferrum Continuous Pusher Centrifuge

CENTRIFUGATION & FILTRATION SOLUTIONS

Ferrum pusher centrifuges are used to dewater and wash sodium sulfate, and depending on the

precipitator ash composition, sodium carbonate crystals. The crystals are returned to the black

liquor for chemical recovery. The centrate, with the concentrated chloride and potassium recircu-

lates back to the crystallizer and is partially purged to remove the components from the liquor cycle.

GEA Flash Dryer

Lignin from the Valmet (formerly Metso Power) Lignoboost process is an example of a

product that dries nicely in a ring and flash dryer. LignoBoost makes it possible to

increase the liquor-burning capacity of chemical recovery boilers and to extract the

wood component lignin from the black liquor. Lignin can be used to replace fossil fuel,

or as a raw material in the chemical industry. Lignoboost gives pulp mills new potential

to increase production, reduce costs and create new sources of income.
