Public construction projects Billions going toward facilities, roadwaysThousands of construction jobs were preserved in Utah during the recession because of an unusual spate of public constructionprojects mounted by local, state and federal agencies. Without them, Utah’s depressed construction sector would more closelyresemble those in harder-hit Arizona and Nevada.
