This sector, I believe is the biggest employment provider in

the State.

This sector is resulting in equitable and distributed growth

in the State.

This sector is more based on using natural resources fromwithin the State.

This sector is immensely contributing to the States GDP.

THE MAIN CHALLENGE BEFORE US IS:-

Inclusive growth .

Access to affordable finance.

Bringing into the banking system those in the unorganizedsector with no antecedents.

Collateral requirements.

Absence of a suitable mechanism which enables the quick

revival of viable sick enterprises and there should be revolvingState Rehabilitation Fund.

SUGGESTIONS

Financial inclusion for inclusive growth by providing affordable

finance.

The model best suited for Uttarakhand is technology driven business

correspondent.

The Credit Counseling Centres should be setup in all districts ofUttarakhand to spread awareness amongst the local people about

the financial products that are there for them. To start with we

suggest setting up of three centres, one each of Chamoli, Uttarkashi

and Dehradun in Association Office.

We should organize suitable training programme for CapacityBuilding of SHGs and should also target them graduate to MSMEs by

providing them integrated support:

Efforts should be made by the State Government with active

participation by the Industries Association for boosting

entrepreneurship at local level.

A high power committee consisting of one Banker, DGM, SIDBI,

Association representative, and Director of Industries should visit

two units each in every cluster to know the problems/suggestion

with respect to flow of credit to MSMEs.

The Banks should agree to provide relief/benefits of Credit Rating ofSMEs.

Preparing of project reports for development of small industries in

Uttarakhand.

Association would request bankers to come forwarded to support

awareness workshops on:

Credit Linked Capacity Subsidy Scheme.

Learn Manufacturing Limited Liability Partnership Act

Bar Code

and other such capacity building workshops.

Financial inclusion- Unbanked areas to be covered for providingbanking facilities through MFIs, financing through business

intermediates, facilitators, establishment for more ATMs, branches/

extension counters, bulk lending through NGOs, financing more

SHGs etc..

We would like to inform the house that the Industries Association of

Uttarakhand has decide to mentor local entrepreneurship by making

integrated efforts in: Education

Employability

Inclusivity Entrepreneurship

RIP at Pauri where about 140 units have been grounded.

Have assisted Graphic Era to formally start Entrepreneurship

Management Course.

Has entered into MOU with various institutes for developing

Entrepreneurship and also for establishing Industry-Institute

Partnership.
