V Modernista Festival of Barcelona From 22 nd to 24 th May 2009 The V Modernista Festival of Barcelona is organised by Cor Eixample – the Association of Retail Traders and Professionals of the Dreta de l’Eixample district – and the Municipal Urban Landscape Institute, a body dependent on Barcelona City Council. The three days of the Festival will feature a number of activities related with the period of Modernisme (Catalan Art Nouveau) and aimed at people of all ages, including children’s games, shows, workshops, puppets, silent films, a demonstration of bygone trades, a vintage car museum, a lecture about Cerdà and Modernisme, entertainment and a host of surprises. The event will be attended by other towns in Catalonia and throughout Europe which also offer Modernist routes and attractions, and there will be an information stand selling products related with the Modernist Route in Barcelona.
