Here are some early 2013 school year Music Department high-
lights!
The Marching Generals have taken 1st place trophies at BOTH
the Reisterstown Festival parade and the Baltimore Columbus
Day Parade!
Wow! 48 talented THS musicians have qualified for the Balti-
more County All Honors Orchestra, Chorus, and Band! That’s
nearly 20% participation from THS in a county of 24 high
schools. There are also 4 alternates from our school.
The Seniors are selling T-shirts this year as their fundraiser. The
shirts will be navy blue and have ―2014‖ on the front pocket re-
gion and the slogan ―All for one and 1 4 all‖ on the back both in
athletic gold. T-shirts will cost $15.00 each (checks ONLY pay-
able to Towson HS) and are available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and
XXL. All seniors received order forms, however if you need an
additional form, please email Mr. Blair at [email protected]. All
forms and CHECKS should be turned into Mr. Blair in Trailer 6.
The deadline for ordering is next Friday, October 25th. RE-
MINDER: Only Checks will be accepted with these orders.
Proud of our Marching Generals

Are you looking for great gift ideas?? How about candles,
scented wax melts, candle accessories (toppers and hold-
ers) and wall plug-ins from the world famous Yankee Can-
dle Company? You are in luck!! Our AVID students
(grades 9-12) will be selling items from Yankee Candle
Company from October 21st through November 1st.
There are a couple of ways you can order items. You can
approach an AVID student and check out the nifty
“scratch and sniff” catalog or you can purchase from the
online store. The online store is at YankeeCandleFundrais-
ing.com. Your child will have the group number and ac-
cess information. If you purchase from a student, please
remember to make your check payable to Towson High
School.
The items will be delivered around November 18th—in
plenty of time for the holidays!! The students are raising
money for field trips, incentives, and the students’ senior
farewell.
What a great way to get a head start on your holiday shop-
ping and support students at Towson High School at the
same time!!
Make sure to watch future newsletters for more gift giving
ideas!!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents, Towson High School uses Connect Ed to send out information to
all of our parents at one time. This is a faster and more efficient way of sharing important informa-
tion. We simply do not have the staff to individually call each of our parents. If you get a call from
the school, please listen to your message before calling the school. Our phone lines become
jammed when everyone calls to find out what the call was about. We appreciate our parents and
want to make sure you have the latest and most up to date information possible.
