9 Organisational Chart

10 Student feedback mechanism on

Institutional Governance / Faculty

performance

A well developed student feedback mechanism is

avilable to assess the institutional governance and

faculty performance.

Suggestion Box: A suggestion box is made available in

the college office for receiving suggestion and

complaints from the students and teachers. It is opened

every day and the details are entered in a register by the

office superintendent for necessary action. Suggestions

and complaints of serious nature are forwarded to the

Secretary/ Chairman for necessary action with the

remarks of the Principal and the Director.

A suggestion box is also kept in both men’s and

women’s hostel to enable the students to air their

grievances to the management for necessary action.

Monitoring Committee: This committee consists of

the Principal, the Director and a teacher. The grievances

faced by the students in the class room are monitored by

the class teacher concerned and reported to the

Principal/Director for remedial action.

Performance Appraisal System: Members of staff are

assessed by students in every semester. Students are

given a well structured feed back form and the filled-in

assessment forms are submited to the Principal for

necessary action. Based on this, the faculty members are

advised to improve his/her method of teaching to suit the

requirements of students.

11 Grievance redressal mechanism for

faculty, staff and students A. Grievance Redressal Cell for teaching & non-

teaching faculty

Any inconvenience, difficulty, hardship and harassment

faced by the faculty in work place shall be dealt with by

this Cell. The Principal shall be the Convenor and the

Director (Admin) and a senior faculty shall be the

members. They shall have the right to approach the

Secretary / Chairman for any further redressal against

the decision of the Grievance Redressal Cell.

B. Grievance Redressal Cell for Students

Any difficulty, ill-treatment, victimisation,

discrimination, complaints of ragging, eve-teasing etc.,

faced by the students shall be dealt with by the Cell. The

Principal shall be the Convenor, the Director (Admin)

and all the Heads shall be the members. The activities of

stundents’ Grievance Redressal Cell shall be intimated

then and there to the Chairman and the Secretary.

19.1 Cultural Activities The Fine Arts Club has been formed in the college

Musical Instrument playing. This club selects

cultural competition organized in other colleges and

universities.

identified and encouraged. Various teams are

basket ball, ball badminton, and kho-kho. The

tournaments conducted by Anna University,

Newsletter/ Magazine A Newsletter is published biannually and a

magazine in the month of March. Students and

teachers are encouraged and motivated to

contribute articles, jokes, mathematical quiz,

caricature, poem etc., for the college magazine.

Technical Activities / Tech Fest Seminars and workshops are planned and being

conducted successfully for each department once

a semester. Experts from various fields are

invited to the college to present Seminars /

Workshops about the current trends in

Engineering field. Each department conducts

national symposium once a year. In association

with the professional bodies, students are

involved in intra-departmental technical activities

like Quiz, Debugging, Paper Presentation, Code

Tracking and CAD Modeling.

Industrial Visits / Tours Industrial Visits and Tours are planned and

arranged as per the regulations of Anna

University. The students of each department are

taken to industries and companies related to their

curriculum and are guided by our faculty

members.

Alumni Activities This forum helps students connected with their

former classmates and college. It is also planned

to conduct alumni meeting once a year.
