ADSL2+ Setup

1. Login - open up your internet browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari) and type in the following address into your website address bar 192.168.1.1

The following pop up screen will appear, type in the following username and password.

Username: admin Password: admin

2. On the left hand menu, select ‘Advance Setup’ button

3. Then the following ‘Wan Service’ button in the sub menu.

4. Click Add to start the ADSL2+ setup.

5. WAN interface configuration - please select –

a. “ATM1 (0_0_100)” for Chorus BUBA service from the drop down menu.

b. “ATM1 (0_0_110)” for Chorus EUBA service (continues from step 11 )

Click ‘Next’ to continue to the next screen.

PPPoA Service Configuration - Chorus BUBA service “ATM1 (0_0_100)”

6. WAN Service configuration - The following screen will open up, you may name this

connection as you like, (such as ADSL2+ internet connection), or use the default name

“pppoa_0_0_100”.


7. PPP Username & Password - The following screen will open, and you are required to type in

your username and password provided by your Internet Provider. If you don’t know your

internet Credentials then you will need to contact your Internet Provider.

Once complete click on the ‘next’ button at the bottom of the screen to continue.

8. Routing Default Gateway - Now you are presented with the following screen, make sure the

BUBA ADSL2+ interface we setup is in the left column before clicking on the ‘next’ button.

9. DNS Server Configuration - Again make sure the ADSL2+ interface (pppoa0) is in the left

column before clicking the ‘next’ button at the bottom of the page.

10. Please review configuration and select Apply/Save to complete the ADSL2+ setup.

Once complete you will return to the main ‘Wan Service’ webpage were you can confirm service setup.

Your ASDL2+ service is now configured; try opening a new webpage on your browser to confirm your connection is active. The LED on the front of the device labelled Internet, will light up green to indicate you have a connection to the internet.

PPPoE Service Configuration – Chorus EUBA service “ATM1 (0_0_110)

WAN Service configuration continues from 5b WAN Service Interface configuration for EUBA.

The following screen will open up, and you will be required to select a WAN service type

a. “PPP over Ethernet” (continues from step 11 )

b. “IP over Ethernet” (continues from step 15 )

c. “Bridging” (continues from step 18 )

A VLAN ( 802.1q ) type and Priority ( 802.1p )will also be required for these services.

11. PPPoE WAN Service - Select PPP over Ethernet, 802.1 P & Q parameters and you may name this connection as you like, (such as ADSL2+ internet connection), or use the default name “pppoE_0_0_110”. By default there are no VLAN parameters given (-1) For EUBA place use the following SERVICE EUBA_0 EUBA_40 EUBA_90 EUBA_180

For EUBA 40, 90, 180 additional QOS configuration will be required

12. PPPoE Username & Password – The following screen will open, and you are required to type in your username and password provided by your Internet Provider. If you don’t know your internet Credentials then you will need to contact your Internet Provider.

13. Routing Default Gateway & DNS Server Configuration - Again, make sure the EUBA ADSL2+

interface (ppp0.1) is in the left column before clicking on the ‘next’ button.

15. IPoE WAN Service – Select IP over Ethernet radial button, 802.1 P & Q parameters and you

may name this connection as you like, (such as ADSL2+ internet connection), or use the default name “IPoE_0_0_110”. By default there are no VLAN parameters given (-1) For EUBA place use the following SERVICE EUBA_0 EUBA_40 EUBA_90 EUBA_180

16. IPoE NAT, Default Gateway & DNS Server Configuration - We advise that NAT is enabled unless otherwise required for routing protocols like RIP, OSPF etc.

BRIDGE Service Configuration - Chorus EUBA service “ATM1 (0_0_110)

18. BRIDGE WAN Service - Select Bridge radial button, 802.1 P & Q parameters, you may name

this connection as you like, (such as ADSL2+ internet connection), or use the default name “Bridge_0_0_110”. By default there are no VLAN parameters given (-1) For EUBA place use the following SERVICE EUBA_0 EUBA_40 EUBA_90 EUBA_180

EUBA QoS Configuration - Chorus EUBA service “ATM1 (0_0_110)

EUBA 40, EUBA 90, EUBA 180 will require configuration of Egress Quality of Service bandwidth parameters. QoS can be configured for the internal FXS ports, or ethernet traffic from the LAN.

20. EUBA QoS Queue Management Configuration - Select Advanced Setup > Quality of Service - to get to QoS Queue Management Configuration GUI. Enable QoS and select default DSCP mark and select Apply/Save

21. EUBA QoS Queue Setup - Select Advanced Setup > Quality of Service > Queue Configuration, and tick atm0 & atm 1 for EUBA services & ptm0 if using QoS on WVS services. Select Enable.

22. EUBA QoS classification - Select Advanced Setup > Quality of Service > QoS classification and select ADD.

The following examples were created for VoIP QoS classifications, but any classification can be created depending on your requirement. The traffic class name is of your choosing.

We have created four QoS classifications rules for a VoIP services originating from the LAN which are for:

To set correct bandwidth for EUBA, enter correct bandwidth ( 40 , 90 , 180 ) within “SET RATE LIMIT”

EUBA for Internal FXS ports

1. Navigate to "Voice - SIP Advanced Settings"

2. Scroll Down the page and configure the following parameters.

3. DSCP for SIP = "AF31 (011010) - Assured Forwarding 31

4. DSCP for RTP = "EF" (101110) - Expedited Forwarding

5. Scroll down and click "Apply Save"

VDSL2+ Setup

PPPoE Service Configuration - Chorus WVS service (Packet transfer Mode

(EFM) VLAN 10)

1. In the left side menu, click on the ‘Advance Setup’ > ‘Wan Service’ to open up the configuration window. Then click the ‘Add’ button on the opened window to start activation of the VDSL interface.

2. From the main display screen click on add and select “ptm0/(0_1_1)” from the drop down

menu. Click ‘Next’ to continue to the next screen.

3. Select the PPP over Ethernet (PPPOE) option.

(Optional) If you want you can customise your VDSL interface Name in the next field called

‘Enter service description’

For Chorus VDSL2 Service enter

Priority: 802.11P = 0

VLAN: 802.1Q = 10

4. In the following section you will need to type in your Internet Service Provider credentials to activate you Internet connection. (The username and password provided to you when you signed up to the service)

5. On this next section make sure your newly configured VDSL2 interface is in the left column before clicking on the next

6. Again make sure the VDSL2 interface we created is in the left column before clicking the ‘next’ button at the bottom of the page.

7. Please review configuration and select Apply/Save to complete the VDSL2 setup.

Once complete you will return to the main ‘Wan Service’ webpage were you can confirm service setup.

Your VSDL2+ service is now configured; try opening a new webpage on your browser to confirm your connection is active. The LED on the front of the device labelled Internet, will light up green to indicate you have a connection to the internet

Full Bridge Setup Configuration - Chorus WVS service (Packet transfer Mode

(EFM) VLAN 10)

1. From the VDSL2+ Setup instruction repeat steps 1 to 2. 2. Select the Bridging option.

(Optional) If you want, you can customise your VDSL interface Name in the next field called

‘Enter service description’

For Chorus VDSL2 Service enter

Priority: 802.11P = 0 / VLAN: 802.1Q = 10

3. Review your setup and Click Apply Save.

Half Bridge Setup Configuration - Chorus WVS service (Packet transfer Mode

(EFM) VLAN 10)

1. From the VDSL2+ Setup instruction repeat steps 1 to 3. 2. In the following section you will need to type in your Internet Service Provider credentials to

activate you Internet connection. (The username and password provided to you when you signed up to the service)

3. Check the “PPP IP Extension” check box and scroll down and Click Next.

4. Continue with “VDSL2+ Setup Instructions” from steps 5 – 7.

UFB Setup

1. In the left side menu, click on the ‘Advance Setup’ tab and then click on the submenu ‘Wan Service’ to open up the configuration window. Then click the ‘Add’ button on the opened window to start activation of the UFB interface.

2. From the main display screen click on add and select “ETH/GE1” from the drop down menu.


UFB WAN Service configuration will be provided by your ISP and will be either

a. “PPP over Ethernet”

b. “IP over Ethernet”

c. “Bridging”

A VLAN ( 802.1q ) type and Priority ( 802.1p )will also be required for these services.

Setup for UFB will be similar to the VDSL service, but will use the GE WAN interface
