What a wonderful week we have just experienced with our Week of Worship. It was such a blessing to have Pr Nick Kross visit our school and share stories from the Bible and his life, which taught us about God, His great love & His plan for each one of us. I know our students will remember this visit and the messages shared. I would also like to express my thanks to those parents who were able to stay and support the morning programs. While our students were his focus, I know Pr Nick really enjoyed chatting with you and getting to know you too. Thank you for making him feel very welcome. Visiting a few classrooms each day, our students were blessed as they were able to ask questions and hear more stories. God has blessed Pr Nick with a special gift of connecting with people and sharing the message of the gospel and we thank God for the time he spent with our school family. We give praise for those students and adults who stood, accepting Pr Nick’s call to ‘stand up for Jesus’. Following Chapel on Friday morning, each student in Years 4 – 6 had the opportunity to answer some more specific questions. From that, we have 49 students wanting to learn more about Jesus’ love for them through Bible studies and 12 Year 6 students who have decided they want to study the bible to prepare to be baptised. We praise God for these decisions and ask you to uphold these students in your prayers. French Classes for Parents (After school hours)

It takes a village to raise a ch ild , so

let’s all join together to help our

children with French .

Hello parents, My name is Miss Marie Armand and I am the new

French teacher at Carmel Primary School. Since French classes are scheduled only once a week at school, I need your help to improve our children’s skills and build a culture around French.

I can understand that maybe some of you are not too familiar with the French language and it can be challenging to help our children at home. Therefore, with the approval of Mrs. Taylor, the principal, I will have classes every Tuesday after school hours for parents who are interested. For one hour, I will go through the basics that are being taught at school so that you can assist our children at home and also develop a love of the language in them.

So, if you are available, please, come along and let’s have an hour of fun learning for our children. Please, let me know if you are interested, by writing down your name on the list that is available at the reception desk. I can also be contacted on 0413 729 637 until 8.30pm from Tuesday to Thursday.

‘Picture Plate’ Fundraiser Carmel Primary is offering your family the opportunity to turn your child’s treasured memories into durable, high-quality melamine Pictureplate that will last a lifetime!

Each plate will cost $25 and for each plate sold, $3 will come back to our Carmel Primary P&F Funds.

A permission form with all the details was sent home last week.

All drawings and monies (cash only) will need to be handed in to the front office by this Friday, April 5.

In Ephesians 2:8 we read, ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not

from yourselves, it is the gift of God.’

What a precious gift. There is nothing we can do to earn it and it’s not about being good enough, we just need to believe. This same gift is available to us too. Is Jesus knocking at your hearts door? What is your answer to Him?
