April 10, 2014 The GPS road mapping for Valencia started on a Thursday of April 10, 2014. The day we arrived was on a holiday so we were welcomed by Engr. Nino Salvacion alone. we first went to the inn, near the municipality, where we will stay for the duration of the activity and ate lunch on the new Badjang Restaurant located a few kilometers away from the town center. After lunch, we awaited for the rain to stop before we start to conduct our initial run on the gadget and what will be the strategy on point descriptions. Unfortunately, due to the reason that it was a holiday, there were no available vehicle for us to use so Engr. just gave us the copy of the town map and printed forms for us to write our data collected. We had our first run on some brgy. roads within the poblacion on foot, we were accompanied by Engr. on the first few roads then left us to learn on our own. we stopped the mapping when the rain poured again around 4 in the afternoon. April 11, 2014 The day started with a courtesy call to the Mayor. She welcomed and thanked us for volunteering for the job. It didn't took long for we have to start so that we may finish the mapping for two days. The vehicle we were supposed to use was the municipalities mobile unit, but by some reason, we had to use a multicab owned by the head of the town's MPDC who is also an Engr. accompanied by the Engr's apprentice and driver. We were instructed to map only those roads they were still not able to pass and also all the barangay roads. We first started mapping the roads on Brgy. Anas, the connecting road on Brgy. The GPS road mapping for Valencia started on a Thursday of April 10, 2014. The day we arrived was on a holiday so we were welcomed by Engr. The day started with a courtesy call to the Mayor.

Taug and Poblacion Oriental going to Brgy. Ticum and also those on Brgy. Candumao and Brgy. Adlawan. Pointing on all junctions, intersections and change of roads. We were able to witness terrains of mixed concrete, earth and gravel roads. We have observed that in some barangays, concrete roads, in between earth-typed roads, only has a span of 3-4 meters followed by rocky road that quite made the travel uncomfortable and literally risky not only to us but also to the vehicle used.

We enjoyed also the lunch and snacks provided by Engr.. We were also provided money to buy our dinner and breakfast to be cooked on the inn we were staying accompanied by the inn's caretaker.

The last day of the mapping started 8 in the morning. Now able to use the municipalities L300 mobile unit, we were instructed to finish the road on brgy. Candumao and the provincial road connecting Brgy. Genoveva and Anoyon, passing by Brgy. Danao, the farthest and longest road we mapped on the entire activity. It finished earlier than expected, so we were still able to map the entire barangay roads on Poblacion.

At the end of the day, around 3 in the afternoon, we went back to Engr. to present what we have collected, he then checked and gave the signal that we are cleared and finished. Afterwards, he thanked us and let us sign some documents for the job order and gave us our honorarium which made us very happy and fulfilled.

We left the place contented, around 5 in the afternoon via Ceres bus lines.
