PRAYER REQUESTS
“Across the street And Around the World”
Pray for all the children who participated with Pastor Reece and the volunteers in our Hero Academy VBS program last week. May they continue to mature in their knowledge of God’s love and purpose for each of them .
Continue to pray for an immediate end to the terrible violence between Gaza and Israel. As a historic Peace Church, we lament the military action which has devastated so many lives. Pray for our ministry partners in Gaza who are discerning with MC Canada staff to see if a volunteer should be sent to teach pastoral care at the Bethlehem Bible College starting in September.
2014 MCC Festival for World Relief September 12 (5:00-9:00pm) &13 (8:00 am-2:00pm)
This Festival is only possible because of the hundreds of volunteers who help us each year. Once again we are asking for your help in the area of baked goods. There are two ways in which you can help.
Firstly, we ARE ALLOWED to ‘serve’ pies and buns in the food booths that have been baked in an inspected kitchen. People very much appreciate the ‘home-made’ taste! However, you must let us know well in advance if you plan to do this, as we need to submit a Food Safety Plan to the Health Inspector.
Secondly, WE NEED BAKING FOR THE BAKE SALE. These items can be baked in homes or any church kitchen. All that is required is that the items be wrapped in new, clear plastic, and that they be labeled. Baking labels are available at your church office and/or the Thrift stores. A hand-written label is also acceptable. Please do not bring any custard or cream items, or any dairy toppings.
