• BIM—Building Information Modeling
• Definition by American national BIM standards association:
- Digital expression of a construction project.
- A shared resource: provides a reliable basis for all
decisions during the entire life cycle of the facility from
construction to removal.
- At different stages of the project, different roles insert,
extract, update and modify information in BIM to support
and reflect their respective responsibilities in the
collaborative work.
