So that it doesn’t take our breath away

Moisture-loving mildew is more

than a disfigurement: it endang-

ers the fabric of the biulding and

your health.

Water vapour and humidity settle on cool surfaces as moisture or

condensation. Relative room humidity should be under 70%.

This is good for our respiratory passages and prevents the formation

of mildew.

We spend most of our lives in closed rooms. Usuallywith modern, heat-insulated windows that let hardlyany fresh air in from outside. With every breath of air we take we are consumingoxygen and releasing condensation. Carbon dioxideand nitrogen oxide from paint and care products alsoburden the room air. To ensure that our air is not kept away with the in-creasing humidity and to prevent harmful mildewgrowing on the walls, regular room ventilation is of the utmost importance. The mildew attacks the fabric of the building over theyears and then our health when we breath it in. Those who believe that they can get rid of the old andsticky air in the room by opening the window reallyare just throwing their money out of it. It‘s a shame forthe expensive heated air.

Our fresh idea:Regular ventilation with the practical Marley Systems –This saves energy and lets you breath easily. For a bet-ter quality of life.

The simple way to an ideal room climate

Do you wish that you had hygienically clean air in yourliving and working area? Then, the Marley Componentsfor regulated ventilation are the right choice for you.Pay attention to the colours – they guide you to the idealroom climate – step by step.

Ventilators: select your requested ventilatorfrom the extensive Marley range – depending on the size and type of room.

Flat ductwork: optimal performance for yourextractor hood – Marley flat piping systems with optimised flow characteristics facilitate this.

Ventilation grilles and wall breakthroughsystems: for inside and outside – an excellentdesign. The Marley Components guarantee a pleasant room climate.

Product overview: details for your fresh airsolutions can be found on pages 12 – 20.

Linchpin for an excellent climate

This is how much air there should beThe optimal ventilator size (performance level in m3/h)can be calculated by: The cubic room size (m3) x airexchange/h.

Experience values for the air exchange■ Living room 6 – 8 ■ Kitchen 6 –10 ■ Toilet 5 –10 ■ Bathroom 4 – 8 ■ Utility room 3 – 6

Example – KitchenRoom volume = 8m2 x 2.50m Room height = 20m3

20m3 x 6 Air exchange l/h = 120m3

Depending on the type, size and position of the extrac-tion area and the length off the extraction drift, thereare different ventilator designs that have an air supplyperformance of between 80 to 305m3/hour.

A continual air exchange is indispensable for an optimaland healthy room climate. Controlled aeration and venti-lation with Marley ventilators ensures an optimal roomclimate and helps you to save money. A high quality ofworkmanship and fully developed technology guaranteethat you will be pleased with the device for a long time.

Top Line ventilators are a typical Marley device with a high flow rate and continuous quiet operation andthe lowest consumption of electricity. With connectordiameter of 100 mm and 125 mm it can be connectedto venting ducts, flexible hoses as well and HT and KGpipes (spigot end). Top Line ventilators are axial venti-lators and forward the air in a similar manner to an “aeroplane propeller”. Therefore, they are espe-cially suitable for forwarding large amounts of air over short distances.

Your advantages to breathe in■ Spray water protected according to IP 24■ Automatic electric shutter■ Particularly economical ventilation using designs

with delayed post-running (VN2) and movementsensor (VBN).

Fitting examples

Every house consists of three differentatmospheric areas:

1 An aeration area, where the fresh air flows inas quietly as possible and without a draught.

2 An overflow area where the intake air andthe outlet air areas connect with each other.Typical example: The door with door gratesand slits.

3 An extracted air area where larger amountsof air can be exchanged. Humidity andvaporous air from cooking are exchangedin this area. Especially kitchens, bathroomsand utility rooms that lie inside buildingsrequire ventilators.

Modern design with spray water protection

Fine Line ventilators that have a modern design for theventilating of rooms up to approx. 30m2 are easy to install, are especially quiet during operation, offerspray water protection (IP 25) and have a low con-sumption of energy. Fine Line ventilators are axialventilators and forward the air in a similar way to an“aeroplane propeller”. Therefore, they are especiallysuitable for forwarding large amounts of air over shortdistances.

Your advantages to breathe in■ Modern design with minimum mounting height■ Self shutting backflow protection flap connection■ Very high moisture protection IP 25 (MF 100) ■ Automatic ventilation when needed with moisture

Generally, a modern kitchen has a high capacityextractor hood. To be able to transport the extractedkitchen steam outside, you need flat ducting that is

safe, reliable and easy to install. The 110 flat ducting system with across-section of 110 x 53 mm is adequate for a single motor-driven extraction hood with a ductconnection of 100 mm and per-formance below 250 m3/h.Select the 150 flat ductwork withcross-section of 150 x 80 mm for extraction hood connections

that have an air extraction performance of more than250 m3/h. They are especially efficient due to theirpositive flow elbows and the optimised hydraulic dia-meter.

Your advantages to breathe in■ Simple, solid pluggable systems with precisely fitted

connections ■ Made of cadmium-free plastics, shock resistant ■ Flame resistant according to DIN 4102/B1 ■ Complete system with adapters and transfer attach-

Ventilation allows the room air to circulate and reducesany harmful substances. If the air is not circulated, thehumid air from exhaled air, cooking steam and the bath

condenses on the walls. The result:poisonous mildew. This damagesthe fabric of the building and yourhealth with every breath you take.Ventilation grilles and wall break-throughs regulate the air circula-

INFO

DUO makes it possible: a wall break-through for ventilation and air extractionThe DUO ventilation system offers the highest ventilationcomfort in your kitchen: at the same time as the extrac-tor hood draws steam and cooking odours through theventilating channel to the outside, the used air is re-placed by the new air in the supply air channel. No under pressure can be created – the complete per-formance of the extractor hood is maintained becausethe fresh air is automatically supplied. There is no needto open any doors or windows. For connecting to flat ductworks 110 and 150. With an adapter for flexible hoses Ø 100 and 125.

Not suitable for sources of fireplaces that require a chimney. Ask your local chimney sweep.

Modification possibilities on the mounting frame

Mounting frames can not always be fitted at anexact right angle. The result: the ventilation grille is off centre. Not so with Marley. Marley mountingframes can be adjusted on the fitting frame, mean-ing that the frame can comfortably be fitted at anangle of 3° to either side.
