The purpose of this School Management Team manual…
How and when to use this document…
Following on from the Foundation DDD Dashboard user manual, this SMT manual seeks to:
1. Build on the core skills that you possess on the Dashboard
2. Help you ask and answer role-specific questions on the Dashboard and with the use of its reports
Welcome to the DDD Dashboard Manual for Principals and HODs
1 2
This user manual can and should be used in two situations:
1. When receiving SMT Principal and HOD Dashboard training (using it as a workbook and reference guide in the training session)
2. When using the Dashboard as part of your role / when you need assistance in finding certain data for your school or subject
While this manual aims to equip you to ask certain questions of your school’s and subject’s data on the Dashboard, it is advised that you still make use of the Foundation DDD Dashboard User Manual
to refresh your knowledge of the Dashboard’s functionality

You will assume the role of a Principal of a fictitious school where it is your responsibility to identify the school’s challenges based on data from the anonymised DDD Dashboard and some of its reports
Your school is in circuit 1953 and is named School 2052. It has a number of challenges which you will be required to identify and from which you will need to draw high-level insights
There are seven questions that you will be asking on the Dashboard and these fall into the categories of school performance and oversight on educators, tasks and data quality
