Starting operation:

Installtheunitonalevelsurface.

Thefluidtankoftheunitneedstobefilledwithsmokefluidbeforeswitchingon.Alwaysdisconnecteditfromthemainssupplybeforefillingasfluidcouldbespilled.

Onlyusequalitysmokefluidsrecommendedbyyourdealer.See page 7forourrecommendedhighqualitysmokefluids.Youmustnotusesubstanceswhichareclassifiedas‘DANGEROUS WORKING MATERIALS’ or ‘FLAMMABLE FLUIDS’.

Iffluidshouldgetinsidethemainhousing,disconnecttheunitfromthemainsimmediatelyandconsultatechnician.

Installation:

Installtheunitinawell-ventilatedarea.Useinaninsufficientlyventilatedroomcanleadtothecondensationofthesmokefluid.Theresultingslipperysurfacecancauseaccidents.Keepaminimumdistanceof1maroundtheunit.

Furthermoredonotorientatetheoutputnozzledirectlyinthedirectionoftheaudience’seyes.Inordertocreatethebesteffect,thereshouldbeadistancebetweentheunitandtheaudienceofatleast1.5m.

Onlyinstallthesmokemachineonfireresistant,scratchresistantandwaterresistantsurfaces.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Werecommendafrequentcleaningoftheunit.Pleaseuseasoftlint-freeandmoistenedcloth.Neverusealcoholorsolvents!Cleantheoutputnozzlefrequentlyfromsmokefluidresidues.Thefluidswerecommend(See page 7)arenon-hazardoustotheenvironmentandcanbedisposedofviathesewagesystem.

Therearenoserviceablepartsinsidethisunitexceptforthefuse.Maintenanceandserviceoperationsareonlytobecarriedoutbyauthorizeddealers.

Replacing the fuse:

Onlyreplacethefusewithafuseofsametypeandrating.

Beforereplacingthefuse,disconnectfromthemains,seethefollowingforprocedure:

Step 1: Open the fuse holder on the rear panel with a suitable screwdriver. Step 2: Remove the old fuse from the fuse holder. Step 3: Install the new fuse in the fuse holder.(Replacementfusesshouldbeofthesamevalueasoriginallysupplied)Step 4: Replace the fuse holder in the housing.

Shouldyouneedanyspareparts,onlyusegenuineparts.

Ifdefective,pleasedisposeoftheunusableunitinaccordancewiththecurrentlegalregulations.

Wireless Remote Control:

Connectthereceiverunittoasuitablepowersourceandpoweron.Ensurethehandheldremoteisfittedwithagoodqualitybattery(A2312VAlkaline).Pressthecorrectbuttonasperthelistbelowtoselecttherequiredmodeofoperation.

Operation:

ConnectthefogmachinetoasuitablemainsoutletusingtheIECpowercableandswitchthepowerswitchtotheonposition.

Aftertheunithasbeenpoweredupthefogmachinewilltakeashortwhiletoheatuptooperatingtemperature.WhilstheatingtheRed Heating LEDonthefixturewillilluminate,onceheatedtheGreen Ready LEDontheunitwillilluminate(theGreen LEDonthewirelessremotereceiverwillilluminateGreenalsowhenthefixtureisreadytofog).

Strobecanbeswitchedon/offviatheStrobebuttononthesideoftheunit.

Tobeginfoggingviathewirelessremoteplugthewirelessreceiverintotheremotecontroloutputontheunit.Pressoneofthe8buttonsonthewirelessremotecontrol(seebelow).Longperiodsofactivationmaytriggerthefogmachinetoenterthereheatcycleduringwhichthefogmachinewillnotproduceanyoutput.

Careshouldbetakentoensurethefluidlevelismaintainedandtheunitisnotallowedtorundryoffluid.Isolatefromthemainssupplybeforerefillingthefluidtank.
