vibrant scene at theGaladari Hotel’s MargaritaBlue.

Yes, it’s the lastWednesday of the monthand that means it’s time for600 minutes of varietyentertainment, by bandsand artistes, at AKGMusicians’ Night.

On the bandstand willbe several lesser knownand upcoming artistes,showcasing their musicaland singing capabilities,alongside some of the bignames in the local showbizscene.

As usual, Mirage will bethere to provide the musi-cal backing.

An artiste seen regular-ly at AKG Musicians’ Nightis Jeffery de Silva, whodoes it the Elvis Presleyway.

This Elvis look-alike isan attention-getter, withhis Presley outfits, styleand singing.

One Direction Zayn Malik’salleged proposal to Little Mixsinger, Perrie Edwards, wasn’t

a rumour after all, as Edwards’ moth-er has since come forward and saidthat her daughter and the superstarare indeed planning on getting mar-ried.

Perrie’s mother, Deborah Edwards,confirmed the news on radio after anumber of tabloid papers hadassumed that the two young, formertalent show contestants, had gottenengaged, telling the station, “Yes, it’strue. They got engaged on Sunday andit’s absolutely lovely.”

Deborah confirmed that the pairhad gotten engaged on Sunday, August18th (2013), going on to say, “It’s won-derful because Zayn is absolutely gor-geous and Perrie loves him to pieces.

“It’s just perfect and they get on sowell together. It’s just fabulous. I saidhow’s long’s this gonna be? And shesaid ‘I don’t want a long engagementbut I don’t want a quick one either.’

“ I think they’ll eventually gettogether and set the date. He did the

traditional asking me, and then heasked his mum and dad. It was fabu-lous, it was lovely. I was like a littlemarshmallow - it was so lovely.”

The rumours that the pair wereengaged first emerged after Perriewas seen wearing a three-stone dia-mond ring on her engagement fingerduring the premiere for the new OneDirection film, “One Direction: This IsUs,” on Tuesday, August 20th (2013).

Wanting to keep their private lifeprivate for as long as possible, the twodecided not to share the news immedi-ately and waited until the premiere tosee if anyone would clock on, whichmost people did.

A spokesperson for the group laterconfirmed: “Zayn and Perrie areengaged, but any further detailregarding their relationship is privateand we ask media to please respectthis.”

Congratulations Zayn and Perrie.Here’s hoping that this would not turnout to be another one of those celebri-ty affairs that don’t head in the rightdirection.
