Dear Election Committee and Association, With this letter I announce my candidature for the position as 2nd Vice President of Föreningen Ekonomerna 18/19. When I first started studying at SBS I had no clue what the association had to offer, but I was determined to become active and experience more during my time at SBS. Today I am sure that it is the best decision I have ever made, Föreningen Ekonomerna has provided me with invaluable experience and together with fellow students it has been a second home. It would therefore be an honour to be Head of Internal Communications and together strive for great achievements and to represent Föreningen Ekonomerna in the best way. I am convinced that the role as 2nd Vice President would suite me since I am very passionate about communication and creating a great atmosphere and group dynamic. I would describe myself as communicative and goal oriented, characteristics I believe are of great importance being Head of Internal Communication. Taking on this role would be a challenge and a great opportunity for me to grow together with the association. From an early age I have been a team builder. My name is Johan Buskas. I am currently a finance student at Stockholm Business School at Stockholm University. I am studying a B.Sc. in Business Administration with Finance as my main field. Personally, I am, and have always been, very devoted to achieving the goals I set up. This helps me in everything I do, and it pushes me to always work hard. A few of my strengths is that I am highly organized in my work, I am analytical, and I constantly aim to evolve and learn more when an opportunity is presented to me. I want to evaluate all factors before making a decision. Furthermore, I believe that personal knowledge is very important and as a result of that I prepare thoroughly for tasks ahead of me. I am not afraid of working hard to achieve my goals. But even if personal knowledge is great, I feel that team work between co-workers should be even stronger. A good working environment is a steppingstone for success and I believe that I can contribute in the aspect.
I believe in my own abilities and I believe that I can contribute with all of them in the position as Treasurer for Föreningen Ekonomerna. I also believe that none of my abilities are yet fulfilled, neither have I obtained all professional abilities that are needed. I think that I can do great work for the association and I feel that my previous commitment for the association have brought me here, and I feel that it is time for the next challenge. I want this challenge to be as Treasurer for Föreningen Ekonomerna.
Another big reason why I apply for this position is because I spend a great amount of time around economics and finance in whole and I am eager to learn more all the time. I want to learn how the association is run from the economic point of view and I want to be involved in this apparatus. I would say that my will to learn and my commitment to tasks I take on is huge and I know that I will not hold back on anything if I end up as our next Treasurer. Furthermore, I believe that some of the work involved in the position as Treasurer will be parts of my future full-time work. All the combined makes it impossible for me not to approach this chance with all that I have got, and I genuinely hope that I will be the next Treasurer for Föreningen Ekonomerna.
I love the people involved in our association and I am excited for everything going on in it. My name is Cajsa Bergström. I am studying my fourth semester in business administration with orientation within marketing. I am herby applying for the role as Head of Marketing for the Board 2018-2019.
When I moved to Stockholm from Helsingborg two years ago I promised myself to make the most of Stockholms ”student life” which I did not think existed at the time. I took an early decision to be an active member in Föreningen Ekonomerna which became one of my best decisions ever. Our student association has given me so much during my short time here, including sittnings, events, student life and a lot of amazing friends. I feel that a lot of people outside Föreningen Ekonomerna both in Stockholm and in other parts of Sweden does not know how much fun we have in the association and how much student life Stockholm actually has, that we create within the association.
My ambitions has always been within marketing creation and writing and that is also what I want to work with in the future. Right now I am on my exchange semester at IE University studying communication courses as Branding Reputation and Strategy, Crisis Communication, Advertising planning, Communication and Law just to mention a few, for the purpose to develop my marketing skills for the future. I have an eye for details which I have proven during my previous work in the association as a marketing manager for Spring Ball 2017 and for Fadderiet FS17 where I received an excellence award for my job. I also do write a lot on my own.
I believe that the association have so much more ambition and could increase more members if we improved our branding and I would put my main focus on our social media platforms. I believe that you can come far if the posters/pictures etc on our social media is continuously in high quality and that our booklets and website are more elaborated, which will attract the eye of new members of wanting to see more. I want Stockholm to be as well known as a student city for economists as for example Lund and Uppsala, (because we are) and that would be my aim if I got elected as Head of Marketing.

Dear Election Committee, My name is Carl Pettersson, and I am writing this letter in response to my interest in the role of Head of International Affairs at Föreningen Ekonomerna. I will divide this letter into 3 parts. Firstly, I will introduce myself, followed by my current engagements within the association, and lastly, I will give my reasons for applying for this role.
I am 22 years old, currently on my 2nd semester of the Global Management programme at Stockholm Business School. Growing up in the Philippines and moving to Sweden in 2012 has allowed myself to see the world in a different perspective. From a young age, I have been exposed to different cultures and personalities, as my father was in charge of a membership club for expats in the Philippines. My siblings and I would usually come with our father to work every Sunday, and we came across different expats, which became my inspiration for an international career. This was also a key factor when I decided to take up Global Management, since I felt that this would be a great stepping stone onto a potential international career.
Within the association, I am the current project manager for Venture Asia, which is a project under the International Committee. The project group and I are taking this project abroad for the very first time, as we will travel to Hong Kong in May with 22 students from SBS. This opportunity has given me confidence in my ability as a leader, as well as a listener. It has also taught me a lot about myself, as well as inspired me to strive to be better. I am also an active member of the International Committee, which is the committee I feel most connected with in the association.
Being a team player has always been one of my strengths, which I believe is the main
component of being a board member. The main reasons for my interest in applying for the board are my eagerness to grow and passion for the diversity in SBS. I want to serve our student body, as well as help integrate our international and exchange students (both bachelor and master students) into our university next school year. One of my ideas for next school year would be to create a biannual project (one per term), where students who have been on exchange can promote the universities and cities they have had their exchange semester in to students who are about to go on exchange. We would have booths in Ljusgården or an open discussion in a lecture hall. This would paint a clearer picture for students who are finding it difficult to pick their exchange destination. I have also spoken Natalie Uljas about her role, and one project that stood out in her plans is the International Career Day, where we give International students the opportunity to speak to companies in Stockholm/Sweden which operate in English face-to-face, since ED is mostly helpful for our Swedish speaking students.
