BENEFITS• Energy efficient
• Environmentally friendly
• Reduced maintenance costs
• Minimised O H & S concerns
• Transportable in fully assembled format
• Optional site erection
• Parallel & series installation options
• Fast and simple construction
• Reduced civil construction costs
• Quality Australian and imported components
FEATURESDIRECT DRIVE MOTOR: at least 20% reduction in energyrequirements and reduced maintenance costs; IP56 motorenables direct vertical mounting in air stream (optional sealedend)
AERODYNAMIC PLENUM CHAMBER: performanceefficiency plus lower silhouette
CLEAR SPAN INTERIOR: Unit’s structural integrity requiresno intermediate supports
TRAFFICABLE FAN DECK: Reduced need for ladders andhand rails
EXTERNAL FRP PANELS: 80% of these panels can beremoved for access. Their construction offers long life plusgood sound & heat insulation properties
SPRAY NOZZLES: Self cleaning design supports wide rangeof water flow and easy conversion to different flow rates;easy hand removal allows straightforward cleaning
LARGE AIR INLETS: Windows -- full width of tower face-- enhance air intake & distribution. Design gives minimumresistance and eliminates sunlight penetrating to water basin
STREAMLINED MAINTENANCE: Panels, windows, fanguard, nozzles and fill easily removed for cleaning. No specialplatforms required.
OPTIONSSITE ASSEMBLY: Modular sections require few tools, minimal skill and time.
BASIN: Our deeper basin design allows versatile connectionoptions, and decreases problems such as vortex potential, pump cavitation potential and water loss through evaporation
VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE (recommended option):Energy saving option allows adjustable fan speed.

Depending on location, Lakeside’s range of coolingtowers offers a number of installation options.
MA SeriesPre-assembled
These FRP modular towers from the MA6 through to the MA36can be transported to site, in fully or partially assembled form(depending on size). Once the tower is in position, a liftingdevice will be required for complete tower locationing orinstallation of the motor and fan assembly.
Site assembly
Modular construction enables this tower to be containerizedin knock down form, for site assembly.
WM & VDA-DFThese site assembled cooling towers are suited to all locations. Timber is a key construction component, consequently theyare heavier, require more manhandling, longer installation andmore expensive to transport.

In 1958LAKESIDECOOLING TOWERSwas established and our first tower, theVDA-DF Series, a cross flow designcooling tower, was built in Melbourne,Australia.
By the 1970’s Lakeside had evolved andintroduced its own unique counterflowdesign cooling tower, the WM Series. The ongoing innovation undertaken byLakeside has meant that this model, suited for special applications, hasbenefited from many technologicaladvances of the past 35 years.
In 1989, Michael Able’s recognition ofthe important principles of coolingtower operation and constructionensured that Lakeside’s newest concept, the MA Series would incorporate thebest of modern technology in terms ofmaterials and operation. Thisstructurally simple, lightweight modularfiberglass cooling tower offerscustomized options to suit the mostchallenging and arduous applications. Its design configuration capabilitiesensure the highest level of cooling towerefficiency. International OH & Srequirements incorporated into the MAare a direct result of Lakeside’s workwith the Victorian Department ofHealth.

WM & VDA-DFThese site assembled cooling towers are suited to all locations.Timber is a key construction component, consequently theyare heavier, require more manhandling, longer installation andmore expensive to transport.

WM & VDA-DFThese site assembled cooling towers are suited to all locations.Timber is a key construction component, consequently theyare heavier, require more manhandling, longer installation andmore expensive to transport.

BENEFITS• Energy efficient
• Environmentally friendly
• Reduced maintenance costs
• Minimised O H & S concerns
• Transportable in fully assembled format
• Optional site erection
• Parallel & series installation options
• Fast and simple construction
• Reduced civil construction costs
• Quality Australian and imported components
FEATURESDIRECT DRIVE MOTOR: at least 20% reduction in energyrequirements and reduced maintenance costs; IP56 motorenables direct vertical mounting in air stream (optional sealedend)
AERODYNAMIC PLENUM CHAMBER: performanceefficiency plus lower silhouette
CLEAR SPAN INTERIOR: Unit’s structural integrity requiresno intermediate supports
TRAFFICABLE FAN DECK: Reduced need for ladders andhand rails
EXTERNAL FRP PANELS: 80% of these panels can beremoved for access. Their construction offers long life plusgood sound & heat insulation properties
SPRAY NOZZLES: Self cleaning design supports wide rangeof water flow and easy conversion to different flow rates;easy hand removal allows straightforward cleaning
