    Victory in Jesus

    I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning Then I repented of my sins and won the victory

    Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

    I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing How He made the lame to walk again and 'caused the blind to see And then I cried, "Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit" And somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory

    Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever He sought me and He bought me with His redeeming blood He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

    I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory And I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea; About the angels singing and the old redemption story, And some sweet day I’ll sing up there the song of victory

    Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

    What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Refrain Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms. O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; O how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Refrain What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms; I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Refrain

    Old Rugged Cross

    On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

      The emblem of suff’ring and shame,

    And I love that old cross where the Dearest and Best

      For a world of lost sinners was slain.

    So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

    Till my trophies at last I lay down;

    I will cling to the old rugged cross,

      And exchange it some day for a crown.

    2

    Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

      Has a wondrous attraction for me;

    For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,

      To bear it to dark Calvary.

    So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

    Till my trophies at last I lay down;

    I will cling to the old rugged cross,

      And exchange it some day for a crown.

    4

    To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,

    Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

    Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,

    Where His glory forever I’ll share.

    So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

    Till my trophies at last I lay down;

    I will cling to the old rugged cross,

      And exchange it some day for a crown.
