Creating a PowerPoint PresentationFor this assignment, you will create a basic PowerPoint presentation. Your presentation will incorporate transitions, and slide show features of Power Point into five slides that highlight information about your favorite music.

1. Open Power Point and select the Design tab at the top

2. After selecting a presentation design, choose New Slide from the Insert menu,

3. Using the New Slide option from the Insert menu, create the five slides of your presentation. When you have finished creating the slides, select the Slide Sorter option from the View menu (or click on the Slide Sorter icon in the lower left corner of the window) to arrange the five slides in the following order:

Slide 1: Title Slide - A Title slide with the title It's About The Music, your name, block, and assignment due date

Slide 2: Where It Began - A Bullet List text slide that lists the origins of this type of music and major dates in its growth.

Slide 3: Who and Where? - a Two-Column text slide listing five composers, individuals, or groups popular for playing this music in column one and the name of one of their works in the other column.

Slide 4: Top Artists: A picture slide, with a photo of one of the people from slide 3 inserted. Slide 5: The End - A Picture Over Text slide which includes text (The End), an appropriate image

inserted from the PowerPoint ClipArt file, and theURL to your webpage.

5. Using the Slide Sorter View, from the View menu:

select an Animation effect and add it to slide #2 (Where It Began) select all five slides, choose a Transition effect, and Apply to All

6. Select Rehearse Timings from the Slide Show menu to record the duration of each slide (about three to four seconds per slide); remember to manually click each bullet item in slide two and include this in the timing of the slide show.Your total presentation should run no longer than thirty seconds.

7. From the View menu, select Header/Footer and add a Footer with your name and block and apply to all slides.
