Exit Through the Gift Shop 50-55 Minutes Banksy’s piece to camera. Can’t see his face- enigma code. Audio also shows enigma as his voice is distorted. Mise-en-scene could suggest what Banksy thinks of Thierry (rats, monkeys and bleeding heart). Montage of shots of street art with a voice over. Usually used in a documentary. Showing the success of street artists and therefore represents them as successful, creative people and not vandals. Head and shoulder shot of an art collector being interviewed. 50-55 Minutes

Banksy’s piece to camera.

Often found in this genre.

Subtitles- usually used in documentaries. Diegetic sound which the audience might not know what it

is until it cuts to the footage. (Thierry bouncing on a trampoline) representing him he’s childish.

Cross cut between Thierry’s fast, hectic film and Banksy saying “ummm…”

Represents Thierry as stupid and not creative as a famous artist, Banksy, doesn’t like it. Banksy has the same mise-en-scene as before which reinforces his feelings towards Thierry.

Another clip of ‘Life Remote Control’ with Banksy’s voice over-“unwatchable, nightmare trailers” pushes his opinion onto the audience as he wants them to think what he does. This could also be suggested as Banksy made this

documentary.
