2019 Study Trip to China with Lancaster University Confucius Institute

Participants on the 2017 Easter Trip enjoying the Great Wall of China

Aim of the trip: To learn Chinese language and experience Chinese culture and the realities of China.

1. Participants: 15-20 students

2. Outline of Visit: Two cities (Beijing and Guangzhou) in 10 days, taking part in Chinese language classes and cultural visits, meeting people

3. Dates: 10 days during Easter holidays from 23rd March to 3rd April 2019. This means flying on 23rd March and arriving in China on 24th March, departing from China on 3rd April.

4. Cost: Return flight to China plus visa (estimate £600-800). All accommodation, meal and travel costs in China are covered by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban. Travel insurance for LU students is covered by Lancaster University’s insurance policy.

5. Requirements:1) Registered students of Confucius Institute aged 15 to 30 who have studied Chinese at the

Confucius Institute for no less than 3 months or 40 hours, and have not previously participated in a visit organized by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban.

2) People who are not currently eligible but who will be by 23rd March 2019 are welcome to apply.

3) A follow-up report of a minimum of 3000 words shall be submitted to Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban within 15 days of departure from China.

If you cannot come to the information session but you are interested in the trip please email us and we will make sure you receive the information.
