Information about Primary Checkpoints for the students of level 5/6 (11 year old at the dates of 22 nd Feb, 2017) girls/boys is as follows

Ministry of education K.S.A makes it compulsory for all international schools to get accredited.(Etamaad) to any international schooling body, for that we have chosen international schools has chosen Advanc – Ed. It is one of the most important requirements of Advanc-Ed, to see that we have a teaching and examination system which is trusted by a neutral body (other than the school itself). We have chosen Cambridge international examination UK (CIE) for that Primary checkpoint are set of exams in Maths, Science & English for students who are uptil 11 years old – their result will prove it to Advanc-ED (Ad ED)and Cambridge that we have a reliable teaching and exam system. These exams are taken twice a year For our students we choose to have it in April/May (exact dates are between 10-28 April) It is important as well as a matter of pride for us, and our students that they are now part of an international examination body, and their results for English, Maths & Science will come as certificates from Cambridge international examinations. (CIE) UK Subject Codes: Science (0846), Math(0845), English (0837) Students will be tested from the same course books which they are studying. Since our books Alhamdolillah are 100 % Oxford University (UK system) process books. We will prepare the children For English, Maths & Science exams fully, God willing. We don’t expect the parents to do the effort. But we need your cooperation in taking this exam seriously. The result for checkpoints will be sent in June by CIE.. Original CIE certification will be given also when CIE will send them. This additional fee of 95 SR per subject is sent as registration to CIE, and it has no link to school fee. It is compulsory to appear in these exams – all 11 years old students must opt for it. However you can choose all 3, only 2 or even 1 (English or Maths or science or Combination) The syllabus, date sheet, paper sample and student counseling meeting on with all level 5/6

girls/boys(11 years old ones by 22nd Feb 2017) will be held on Thursday 19 th January, 2017 between 5:30 pm to 7: 30 pm in the Recreation hall. Please make sure English speaking parents along with the students attends it in order to have a very clear picture. (Younger sisters/brothers/babies not allowed). We understand that the notice is short, but we request you to understand as well that all information, as soon as sent by CIE was shared with parents. Last date for agreement form submission for exam is Thursday 19 th Jan, 2017. AFTER MONDAY 23 RD JANUARY 2017, REGISTRATION FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Submit the
