A younger woman one day said something

that hurt (insult) her best friend. She regretted

it immediately, and would have done

anything to have taken the words back.

In her effort to undo what she had done,

she went to an older, wiser woman in

the village. Explaining her situation,

and asked for advice. The older, wiser

woman listened patiently in an effort to

determine just how sincere the younger

woman was. The older, wiser woman said ,

"There are two things needed to do to make .

The first of the two is extremely difficult .

Tonight, take your best feather pillows, and

open a small hole in each one. Then, before

11

the sun rises, you must put a single feather

on the doorstep of each house in town. If you've done the first thing completely, I'll tell you the second."

The younger woman hurried home .

All the night she worked alone it is too cold ,

the wind was so sharp.

Just as the sun rose, she returned to the older ,

wiser woman. She was so tired .

Now, said the older, wiser woman ,

"Go back and refill your pillows. Then everything will be as it was before".

The younger woman was stunned. "You know that's impossible! The wind blew away each feather as fast as I placed them on the

doorsteps! You didn't say I had to get them back !

That's true", said the older, wiser woman. "Never forget. Each of your words is like a feather in the wind ".

12

This will happen if you hurt someone by your tongue. What about hurting others by your hand!!?

You should think deeply before speaking any hurting word or doing any hurting action. If you can't love others, at least don't hurt them.

Don't hurt others, just because you're hurt.

Be sure that if you hurt others, he may forgive you but there is still a black point in his heart against you.

13

Manners should be followed:

Time

Mention a Hadith in which the prophet (PBUH) prevents us from hurting others…………………………………………………………………………………………………….……………………………….

Where I lived I noticed a widow that struggles

so much to take care of her three children.

She goes out early in the morning and comes back

late before the children will have

something to eat.

In an envelope I drop a smile card and 100L.E,

which I think will be able to feed them for

15

some time. I left it at her door post.

The following morning she came out calling

everyone around saying:

"God had sent an angel to bless me with

some money that will be able to take care of

me and my children for some time".

While I and my children were going shopping,

we spotted a man wrapped in a blanket and holding

a sign that said, "Lost my job. Family to Feed".

While we were in the store, I asked each of the kids

to buy something for him. They picked a couple apples,

a package of shrimp l, a sandwich, some cheese and

a bottle of juice. Then my child asked,

"Can we get him a gift card?"

I thought about it. We were low on cash ourselves, but

we talked about the fact that we may not buy

some of the things we were going to buy if we bought

a gift card. All the kids agreed.

"That's ok!". "I'll eat oatmeal all this week!"

They said, "Hurry mom! Let's get out there to give him his

16

stuff before he gets too cold and leaves."

We quickly checked out, with the items he could eat

, and a gift card form the store.

We handed him cup of coffee and the bag of food.

He lit up and thanked us with watery eyes.

When I handed him the gift card and said he could use it

for whatever his family might need, he burst into tears,

overwhelmed and grateful.

Part III:Hadith

21

The prophet (PBUH) said:

"Allah has revealed to me the adaption of humility till none pride over none".

22

Hadith

The explanation of the Hadith :

1-All Human beings are created by Allah.

2- No distinction is made between human beings because of color, race, nationality, financial status, beauty or worldly possessions.

3-There is no superiority of one over another.

4-When someone starts thinking or acting as if he is better than others, he under-values the truth and degrades people.

5-Allah does not like this attitude. Allah wants Muslims to be modest and humble.

Lessons to be learnt from this Hadith:

1-We should behave with humility by respecting everyone.

2-None pride over none means no one should feel superior to another.
