- Vincent Van Gogh was born on March 30, 1853, in Groot Zundert, Netherlands.

- He was a very talented artist but suffered many tragedies in his life. His brother died which made him go into depression.

- His father, Theodorous Gogh, was a minister and Van Gogh’s mother, Carbentus, who was an artist who loved to paint nature.

VAN GOGH’S PAINTING LIFE

- Van Gogh finally found his talent for which was to make art. He loved art. He loved it so much that he started to make master pieces like Starry Night.

- But he suffered a terrible illness. He had mental issues. It was so bad that it was unstable. He was so mentally ill that he even cut his own ear and gave it to a prostitute. If anyone wants to know what prostitute means, I wouldn’t search it up!!!!!!

- He later went to the hospital where he got inspiration to make master pieces like Starry Night and Irises.

FAMOUS COMPOSITIONS

His paintings like Starry Night or Sunflowers are very famous. He got inspiration by a painting which shows spirals.

The name was Whirlpool Galaxy by Lord Rosse in 1845. He used dark colors to complement the night sky. He also used visual texture and lines to make it look calm. He also used post impressionism which means light brushstrokes in the painting and more paintings he did.

OUR INSPIRATION (CONT.)

We used lots of colors, visual textures , and spaces.

We chose Van Gogh because he was a very inspiring artist.

Once we heard about his legacy and saw his paintings, we thought, “Why not him!”

And since he was so inspiring, we both liked his works and decided to use in our presentation.
