It is geared to disseminating our safety culture throughout the Group. The Group’s 536 senior managers participated in the Managing Safety training programme in 2012.

VINCI CONSTRUCTION’S GOAL IS TO CREATE OVERALL VALUE. IN ASSESSING OUR PERFORMANCE WE LOOK BEYOND OUR ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL RESULTS AT THE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL VALUE WE CREATE. OUR COMMITMENTS ARE SET OUT IN THE MANIFESTO SHARED BY ALL VINCI BUSINESS LINES.

Page 9: Vinci Construction Essentials 2013

TRAINING AND MOBILITYAn ambitious training programme enables employees to continue to develop their skills throughout their careers. Our management method based on recognition of merit and trust fosters upward mobility. Our HR policy supports VINCI Construction’s expansion by encouraging international mobility.

SEA HSL AND BIODIVERSITYNearly 220 protected species were identified along the route of the SEA Tours-Bordeaux high-speed rail line. LISEA and COSEA, the concession company and construction joint venture, worked with local and regional biodiversity NGOs from the initial studies phase onwards to reduce the impact of the project to a minimum and to define compensatory offsets, which have been implemented on more than 2,800 hectares of land.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENTISSA (Sogea-Satom’s Initiatives for Africa) supports solidarity actions carried out in conjunction with projects (access to basic services, creation of micro-enterprises to generate sustainable employment for local populations). In 2012, ISSA provided more than €440,000 in funding to support 27 projects. In Europe, the Fondation d’entreprise VINCI pour la Cité and its counterparts support the civic engagement of the Group and its employees.
