“As a Project Manager for Omexom, I manage the delivery of projects like the Shin 132kV substation refurbishment from start to finish. We refurbish substations that have reached the end of their lives, improving the supply of electricity to homes and businesses. Our teams work in live environments which can be highly dangerous, so we take their safety very seriously.

“It can be a challenge to meet tight deadlines, making sure suppliers deliver so we can keep projects on track, whilst ensuring

our team is always working safely and with the support it needs. I often have three or four projects running simultaneously, all at different stages. The best part of my job is signing over a finished project to the client.

“Omexom has been really supportive, first hiring me on a graduate scheme then helping me study a Master’s in Construction Project Management. I would love to be an Operations Manager and eventually Business Unit General Manager.”
