  • Thanks to Zion Lutheran Church and Roy WhddenZion Lutheran Church in Oakland has allowed

us to use its rooms for our monthly play days, andwe have traditionally expressed our appreciationby performing once a year, usually on Mother'sDay, during their services.

Four of our members (John Mark, LeeMCRae, Robin Easterbrook and Ellen Farwell)were all set to play for Mother's Day recentlywhen Robin found herself headed for the emer-gency room that moming, with only a couple ofhours before the first service was to begin.

Roy Wbelden responded to a very early callfor help on very short notice, and filled in forRobin at the church. We are indebted to him forrescuing the day. And we thank him also forcoaching us so well at our playing session the pre-vious day.
